Hi husk77,
MISFEED REMOVAL
When a misfeed occurs, the error indicator blinks, "CLEAR PAPER JAM" appears in the display, and the machine stops operating. If a misfeed occurs when using the RSPF, "RETURN X ORIGINAL(S) START TO RESUME" will appear in the display("X" indicates the number of pages to be returned.). This indicates the number of the originals that must be returned to the document feeder tray after a misfeed. Return the required number of originals. This number will be cleared when copying is resumed or the [CLEAR] key (  c  ) is pressed. If an original misfeed occurs in theRSPF, the machine will stop and the error indicator will blink. To remove a misfeed from the RSPF, see "D: Misfeed in the RSPF" (p.83).

Hi Husk77,
There could be even a small piece of paper stuck. Try looking even closer, and even open a close the access lids to reset the triggered switch. Even a minute piece of paper in the wrong location can cause a sensor to be triggered and until it is reset it will not work.

Thanks

Try to reinstall the driver of your copier. Uninstall then reinstall the driver and software that came with it.

A misfeed has occurred

If this is a regular home-use printer, a misfeed usually indicates a jam when the printer is pulling blank paper from the tray. The most likely solution is to just clear the jam (gently but firmly pull any stuck paper out of the machine), make sure the paper tray is adequately filled (not overfilled, and make sure the paper is all the way in so the rollers can reach it), and hit the okay button on the printer. (If your printer has no okay button and there's no message box appearing on your monitor, then restart the device.)
If that doesn't work, then more specific information (brand, model, your computer's operating system) might help determine the cause of the problem.

Help!! Triangle with exclamation mark is flashing. What does it mean?

The blinking triangle indicates one of the following: Paper tray is empty, Door open, Paper jam, Misfeed from tray.

To fix it:
Verif that the print cartridge is present and that the print-cartridge door is closed correctly. Verify that media is present in the input tray. Clear any jams and perform paper-path functional checks. To reset the printer after a jam, press the Go button. You might need to clear the error manually, and press the Go button or close the top cover

I have a Sharp Al-2040cs when I turn it on the misfeed indicator is blinking. I checked it there no misfeed paper or piece of paper inside. How can I fix this problem?

The MISFEED Indicator blinks when a MISFEED has occurred. Remove the misfed paper referring to the the description of MISFEED REMOVAL beginning on page 65 of the pdf Manual at:

http://files.sharpusa.com/Downloads/ForHome/HomeOffice/PrintersFaxMachines/Manuals/cop_man_AL2030_AL2040CS.pdf

When the MISFEED Indicator is blinking you should look closer at the paper feed area (see page 66 of the PDF). You may need to remove the paper tray to find any remnants of paper. If after closing the side cover the light does not stop blinking you will need to follow through as per the illustrated instructions.

Remember after removing jammed paper, you need to press the clear key to clear the MISFEED error.

If after doing all this the error signal has not cleared, power down the printer; unplug from the power supply; let rest 5 - 10 minutes; plug back i to power supply; turn printer on and see if this resolves issue.

Trust this is helpful. Please vote. :)

My sharp 2300-n notified me of a paper misfeed. After clearing all misfed paper, the copier is still telling me there is a misfeed, and is not allowing me to print or copy. Suggestions?

Make sure that all of the paper jams are removed. Check every available cavity, including your paper trays. Pull each tray out and make sure there are no jams right out of the paper trays. Sometimes a piece of paper can become lodged where you cannot see it.

If you are positive there is no paper stuck in the machine, then you have a paper-path sensor that is either dirty or faulty.

Ricoh Aficio CL3500N printer phantom misfeed

It seems that the sensor is having dust or toner settled upon it. Kindly remove the toner and clean the residual toner. Take a hard stock paper and give one copy command and push it while it tries to pull the paper. Paper misfeed is not the same as paper jam. Paper misfeed refers to the blank paper tray and paper jam refers to paper which has been taken from the tray and now inside the unit.

MACHINE DO NOT COPY AND GIVE THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE: (A ZIGZAG SYMBOL) WITH "FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION"

Sounds like the 'Clear misfeed' symbol. Open the front cover and follow the pictorial diagram instructions to check your paper feed path for jammed paper. Remove misfeed, and close covers. This should reset your machine.

Misfeed Indicator light is on - there are no jamed copies present. Other solutions recommended. Thank you

Make sure that there isn't any little piece of paper caught near a sensor. Often when a jam is removed, the operator rips the paper, leaving some if it there inside. If it's near a sensor, you'll get a constant jam indication. Use a flashlight to check for it.

How do I clear misfeed.

In most cases where the machine says there is a jam, and there is no paper in the paper path, it's because the paper never got out of the paper drawer and didn't reach the 1st jam sensor. If you can open the machine and it resets, then chances are the paper feed roller is either slipping or in some cases not turning at all. If you can't clear the jam by turning off the machine, and back on, then you have a bad jam setect sensor or perhaps a small piece of paper lodged on the jam sensor. This will take some additional troubleshooting on your part. Need to know if the jam indicator goes away when you restart the machine. Let me know and I'll try to guide you from that point.
