Unfortunately, you failed to mention which model GE AC unit you have. But, in most cases, E2 indicates a Sensor Failure Shutdown. Try turning the unit OFF & unplugging it it for 15 minutes. Then plug it back in and turn it ON. Hopefully, during the timeout, the electronics reset and reverted back to the original factory settings. If so, set the controls as you like and see what happens. If the E2 code reappears, contact GE Customer Service. The number should be in your Owner's Manual.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Manual for Arctic Cool Air Conditioner Model #AP-08CR1FACS

hi there...I am MiLi,

I've a question about this, because I've a similar problem.
My airco is displaying this code E2, and I'm wondering what it means.
I don't have the manual anymore to look it up. And the Airco stopped cooling, it is blowing warm or house temperature air.
It is set to cool, but blows warm air.

Is there someone who can help me out with this?
I just want to know what this code E2 means and what to do about it.

E2 error code in samsung split AC

From all Samsung recomendations... if your air conditioner displays E1 in the display panel and won't turn on, it means that the Room Thermistor (a device connected to the thermostat that detects room temperature) is shorted or defective, and you need to have your air conditioner serviced.

If it displays E2, E3, or any other E error, you also need to have your air conditioner serviced.

To arrange for service, contact Samsung Customer Care at 1-800-Samsung (1-800-726-7864) any day between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Have the model number and serial number of your air conditioner on hand when you call.

Hope helps.

E2 error code on Haier cprd12xh7 portable air conditioner

Hi! You need to check pump filter. It could be jammed with a coin or hair clip. Now take the machine outside and empty it then lay it on its side and you can access the pump. Take it off, stand up the machine and pour hot water into the soap draw and check water should run out of bottom freely taking any fluff or bits with it. Now take apart the pump and clean it and dry all components before re-assembly. If the machine still doesn?t work then you need to replace the pump. Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance. Thanks Rylee
