Mine is a proseries 2400 with the 4 way ignitor. It has a label in the battery compartment which indicates + side up toward the button.

The ignitor does not work. I am able to start a flame by inserting a match and then turning on the burner knob. Either first, middle or back. Is there a AA battery that is used to create a spark for the...

Your grill uses a push button piezo type of igniter. Each time you push the button you should her a click and a an electrical charge should be sent down a wire to an electrode where a spark will jump from the tip of the electrode to the nearest metal surface creating a spark to ignite the gas. The first thing to do is make sure the wire from the electrode to the igniter is actually connected to the igniter. Then make sure the wire is connected to the electrode. Make sure there are no breaks in the wires insualtion that could cause a short. Check the electrode and make sure it is held securly in place and not moving around. Check the ceramic white insualtor for breaks or cracks casuing a short. If all of this is ok, then it is most likely the igniter itself. You can get a replacement at for $9.49 plus tax and shipping.

How do you replace battery for sufire starter on charbroil grill?

Unscrew the outer ring of the ignitor button and slide it off. You will find the battery inside. Take note of which way the old battery is facing, as you want to install the new battery in the same direction. It's either going to be 1-AAA or 1-AA battery. Always use an alkaline battery.

Where does the ignitor battery go on the Brinkmann model 810-9520-S grill?

It goes inside the igniter button holder. Unscrew the outer plastic ring of the igniter button and you'll find the holder under it. Usually takes 1 AAA battery. But depending on how old yours is, it may take 1 AA Battery.

I plugged in my new grill and it does not power up. The only thing that works on the grill is the rotisserie. Can you help?

Presumably you have the grill connected to your 120v house power via an extension cord to the electrical box attached on the outside rear of the grill.

And that is where your rotisserie is plugged in, into one of the two available outlets at that same electrical box.

The other outlet is meant for the hood light, which connects via a pigtail from the little transformer inside rear of the grille. (If that connection is made and the light still does not work, check the bulb for burnout.)

Does the ignitor work? You probably already know this from reading the manual, but there is an AA battery which powers the ignitor--not the 120v system. Unscrew the cap on the ignitor button and ensure a new alkaline AA battery is installed correctly, put - (negative) side of battery in first.

Hope this helps!

Auto igniition will not operate

Are you talking about pushing the ignitor button and nothing happens? Depending on your make and model grill, there is either a AA or 9V battery powering the igniter. Find that battery and replace it.
