compact size and capabilities. Bluetooth technology in combination with a
notebook PC extends its use and effectiveness. The Acer TravelMate 2420 comes
equipped with Bluetooth and can be functional in a few steps. <br />
<p>1. Download Bluetooth driver in the Resources section. <br />
<p>2. Follow the instructions to install the driver for your
Acer TravelMate 2420. <br />
<p>3. Press the "Bluetooth Communication" button on
the front of the computer. The button is located on the left side of the
"Wireless Communication" button. The light will remain lit to
indicate that Bluetooth is ready to run on your computer. There will also be a
Bluetooth icon visible on your screen. <br />

It appears that your Acer has 3 ports in the front center bottomportion of the laptop. Try to turn off automatic updates. Right-click on MyComputer icon, select properties, Click on Automatic Updates, turn off automatic updates. Maybe it's trying to download updates automatically and this will slow down the computer.
If that is the problem, you have to make sure you get all your updates manually first and then change back settings to automatically download updates afterwards.
