Question about Dell E172FP 17" LCD Flat Panel Monitor
I SEEM TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY MONITOR IF I TURN THE SCREEN POWER BUTTON TO ON IT BLINKS (GREEN)AND CONTINUES TO BLINK EVEN AFTER I TURN THE COMPUTER ON I LEAVE IT TO SEE IF IT WILL EVER STAY SOLID BUT IT DOESNT. I PLUG A DIFFERENT MONITOR IN AND THE MONITOR WORKS FINE.
Check transisters Q759, Q760, Q739, Q740. They commonly short out. Do a google search on how to check transisters. You must unsolder them from the power supply

Your monitor need repair. Sounds like a power supply problem. The power supply is shutting down due to an overload.
