Hi

thank you it would seem that your recovery media i.e. CD or hard driver recovery is corrupted and will need to be replaced as it cannot read the file mentioned

Please replace the CD

Reformated C: drive and cannot reload Dell drivers for display & audio

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} After installing Windows, use the CD that is provided with your Dell PC. The CD may not be bootable, but it will contain all the driver's and other applications on it for you to install. you need to first have your pc working with the windows OS. Then load the CD and follow the menus to install each driver, for each device in for your particular model Dell PC.

If you don't have the CD, then you can go to the Dell website where you can download each driver and other apps for your PC to get it to working condition.

Reformated used HP recovery disc when I restart it says SW build ID different from ID on recovery media

You have 2 options. You can write to Microsoft or to HP about your Issue & they might be able to help about the ID issue. Best I would suggest you buy the OS. ( Full installation Pack) this way you have nothing to worry.

My hard drives that i put in my computer is a 80gb harddrive but wen windows is loaded up it says its a 40gb

Either your hard drive is defective, formatted wrong, or improperly partitioned. Most likely it will need to be reformated, and I recommend the default partition size unless it is signifigantly (more than 10%) less than your actual drive size. 500GB drives are available for less than $100, and much more viable than the smaller drives.

Reformating my gateway E 4100

reformatting a drive is a big undertaking, formating the drive will erase everything, including viruses, before you format you need to make sure you have all the discs including the windows disc, driver discs, and a factory restore disc, also you make check the documentation on your system because alot of the gaetway, dell, emachines systems have restore partitions installed on the drive. Also youll need alot of coffee and alot of time, most importantly aside from the windows disc youll need a driver disc for any ethernet or wireless card you have installed. without this you will not have access to the internet most likely and donloading updated drivers is very helpful. This is a time consuming proccess unless there is a restore partition on the harddrive, the documentation will tell you how toaccess it if it exists, if not a restore disc will be nice.

I need XP drivers for R20

Go to download.com and get Driver Magician Lite 3.44. Download it to a flash drive. Plug the drive into the computer and install DML. When it has run, save the non-Windows drivers back to the flash drive. Now you have all of the drivers from your computer that do not come with Windows. You can leave them on the flash drive or burn them to cd.
