Hi, these steps should help you:

Symptom: Error code: "CS" appears in display Problem: Current Sense error: Current sensing circuit detects low current (amperage) draw due to failure of one or more magnetron circuits. Possible Causes: Failure of any one or more of the following components: HV board (see next step), HV diode (High Voltage Diode Test), HV capacitor (see next step), interlock switch (Interlock Switch Test), triac (Triac Test Procedure ), HV transformer (see next step), magnetron (Magnetron Test) Tests: CAREFULLY OBSERVE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. Inspect foil side of HV board for burned tracks (foil) toward lower side of board. If burned, check HV capacitors (High Voltage Capacitor Test Procedure) and HV transformers (High Voltage Transformer Test) for a short. Otherwise test other components as outlined above. Solution: Replace defective components as necessary. If applicable, repair foil trace on HV board.

How CAN i TEST MY MICROWAVE?

Most common cause of an F7 code on these models is a bad inverter or magnetron. Generally it is best to replace both the magnetron and the 1100 watt inverter board at the same time, since a bad magnetron is usually what burns out the inverter board.

A short somewhere and bad if it blows instantly--a shop repair as could be control problem or bad inverter(power for the unit) or even a bad magnatron---someone who knows their way around in this type of unit would have to make some tests---both the inverter board and the magnatron are over 100 each parts.

The magnatron quit - is it worth getting fixed?

Magnatrons rarely go bad.

Check your door safety interlock switches. Do you open the door while the oven is operating?

If yes, you have burned the contacts of the little micro switches to the point that they are not functioning.

When this happens, the oven doesnt know the door is closed and will not turn the magnatron on.

Remove the cover, DONT TOUCH THE SILVER CAN, check the switches for contunity.

The other possibility is the silver can is bad - dont touch it unless and until you undersstand withat it is and what it does. It can be very dangerous.

Jenn Air Microwave Error Code

Hello Hec1152,
I have found the manufacturer contact information for you, but could not find information about the error code. If everything works fine, but the microwave is not heating your food, then the problem is most likely the magnatron or one of it's components, which sadly to say is the most expensive part to replace. Please feel free to contact the manufacturer via phone or live chat to get more details as to what the error code means.

If you would not mind, could you please rate my help. I would greatly appreciate it.

it sound to me as if the high voltage diode is shorted. It could be inside the capacitor or out board the cap. The capactor could also be short but this is a rarity. Diodes are a cheep item . repace it and if it don't work its probably the magnatro. good luck.

Lightning inside microwave oven

You better be carefull my friend or you will start glowing in the dark!! LOL Just kidding. But I wont kid about how dangerous that metal cylinder can be with the holes in the top. Thats the magnatron. It has very high voltage going to it and you should never ever touch any wires going to it even if its unplugged as theres a capacitor in there that holds a charge for a time. f the oven is over several years old, Im sure the magnatron will cost more then a new oven, after you add labor and such. It just migfht be time to upgrade to a new microwave?? Good Luck
