You should take the appliance in for a check up,
It can be a bearing or the belt thats over the drum holding it in place.

Good luck.

Motor spins, belt is on, wheel at back of tub spins but internal wont spin and clothes not being spun. Any help is appreciated

Sambo141 my friend - front or top load which ever you have a serious problem with the drive spline, either the gearbox for a top loader or a damaged/broken drive shaft on a front loader.

This is one thing you should check first - the wheel thing is the pulley - on this have a close look often they have a key/grub screw to lock it to the drive shafts - perhaps the problem may just be here, hope for the best...

Cheers

Violently spins during spin cycle (even unloaded). Amana top load model NAV2335aww.

Is it unbalanced spin and noisy? If it is, then you bearings are out. If just unbalanced check your base and washer support inside machine.

Violent spin cycle on the Frigidare front-loading washer

I assume you bought it new, so on that basis, did you remove the transit packing materials inside the machine ?

Front loading washing machine normal design is for the drum assembly to be supported by two or more springs at the top, and two dampers at the bottom. This allows the drum to move in a controlled fashion and also minimises vibration, particularly during spinning.
When the machines are shipped from the factory, transit packaging is put inside the machine to ensure that any shocks to the machine during transit dont damage the springs or dampers. This must be removed before use otherwise you get pretty much the symptoms you describe.

The manual that cam with it will show you how to remove the transit packaging. In such a short time I suspect you wont have suffered any damage, but take the transit packaging out as soon as possible.

My washing machine spins violently and the ground

Possibly you still have the transport screws in. this causes havoc when load is in. or very unballanced load or possibly spring come loose . assuming you have a front loader. Definately one of those.

Hotpoint washing machine vibrate/oscillates violently when on spin mode. Installation instructions tell you to adjust the feet, which I have done. I have also tried different sizes of load - no difference...

have you removed the transit bolts? this is the usual cause of violent vibration. if not, do not use the machine till this is done as you can cause a lot of damage

Shook Violently first time on spin cycle

Make sure the washer is leveled properly and all four feet are resting on the floor. If it is level, try running one cysle without any clothes in it to see it is spins without that violent shaking.. you may have also had an out of balance load.. Hope that helps!

You may have one suspension point that has failed.

Open the back and using a flashlight, inspect the outer shell; the suspension should look the same at each point.

Don't know your particular machine but the suspensions are pretty primitive, some no more than heavy rubber rings at each point.
You're right that it shouldn't be ignored, as it can cause more problems and stresses the bearings abnormally.

Sometimes, this can be caused by running one very unbalanced load and not stopping the machine to redistribute the clothing to correct the imbalance.
This can cause a suspension point to become unhinged.
