This model doesn't have a built in recovery feature that some machines have, so you will need either an operating system disc or an HP operating system recovery disc in order to reload the system to factory original status. I'm sorry, but there is no other way around it.

Tva agent.exe.entry point not found

In fact TVAgent.exe is a component of Hp software, but it seems your's a little different, as you've mentioned as TVA Agent.exe. Anyway, you can fix this, but you have to troubleshoot what exactly is causing this problem, after you find out the culprit, you can disable it.

I assume you are using Microsoft Windows XP, click Start > Run > and then type in "msconfig.exe" [without quotes], press enter and again click "Startup" tab on the new windows, now click "Disable all" and restart your computer, this time you may not see the error message. Now open the msconfig once again, enable few of them, click ok and restart your computer and check if you see the error again. Keep on enabling and restarting your computer until you find out the culprit and leave it disabled while the rest are kept enabled. This will fix your problem.

This is sometimes caused by virus/malware/spyware, so you also need to run a full virus scan to make sure it's not infected, use avg free and avira free to scan. You can download them from their respective websites.

If you need further help, let me know with more details.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

My sound is not working

You can try a system restore to get back to a point when the problem with sound was not there. To restore:

Click the Start button, click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools, and then click System Restore.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Click on Choose a different restore point, and click Next. You will see a list of restore points. If you find the date when the sound worked then click on it and click Next. Otherwise click on the check box Show restore point older than 5 days, and then select your preferred date.

The system restore will take a while to complete, when it does, your computer will restart automatically..

When it starts again, see if the problem remain

HP Pavilion zv6100 laptop CMOS will not recognize the HD

You could have a faulty disk controller. Try inserting a different working hard disk into the HP and see if it can detect it in the BIOS. If not then the disk controller is faulty and this is a motherboard problem. A replacement motherboard may not be worth it, put your money towards a new laptop and put the hard disk into an USB hard drive adapter case and use it as an USB external hard drive.

How can i reboot my hp pavilion zv6100 back to brand new when i first bought it. i dont have a restore cd that came with the computer. is there another way that i can do this or not?

The restore disc is the best way, however, you can do a system restore from the system tools in the accessories section of the start menu. There should be a restore point either the day it was first loaded or close to the day, if not, then choose the earliest restore point. This will get you real close to how it was when you first got it. It may leave a few programs or files that you added since having the machine, and if you do not want anything left, then you will have to remove them manually. If this is helpful or better, rate me accordingly, but please do not rate me if you feel this doesn't deserve at least helpful.

You can use the HP recovery disc that came with your laptop to bring it back to its original settings.
