Replaced lamp in WD-52825 but still no picture. Lamp indicator on.
I was getting black/purple lines (horizontal/diagonal) on the screen using all sources (2 DVD players, DirecTV) for several weeks. This would appear after the tv had warmed up well - an hour or so. Now no picture at all and the lamp indicator is on. Replaced the lamp - same problem. No picture and the indicator is still on. Any guesses?

The DM board has gone bad. it is not the 4 100uf caps on the board. it is surface mount parts. it this board has failed then the FMT board is not far behind. the chassis needs to be rebuilt. www.tv-techs.com

If the status led is blinking yellow its indicating that the filter cover on the side is open. If its the lamp indicator thats blinking yellow its indicating the lamp door cover isnt attached properly.
Hi,do you hear any strange noises? If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast. Here's the instructions to replace it for a samsung ,it works like your mitusibishi:http://www.fixyourdlp.com/guides/samsung/bp47-00033a.php The ballast has a sensor that detects when it's not able to power the lamp or if lamp is not responding,it will flash red when that sensor detects that. When you say: "it began to roll like the vertical and horizontal hold did not work
then the sound went out" Do you mean you where getting horizontal lines? If you did that could be the Dmd.his is how it works: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/dlp1.htm Basically the light of the lamp goes through a tunnel that carries a color wheel(rotating disc with a gamma of colors that creates the colors on your tv)then the light of the lamp goes through the DMD board which is a chip composed of around 2 million pixels that creates the images and colors. When it starts to fail it will create black bars, pixelation, color distortion or white dots on screens. Usually when there's a green light it could indicate a problem with the power supply, sometimes some capacitors do go bad. Check all of this and comment on this answer to see how it went.
Failed caps on the power supply will cause that. The V26 Power pwb repair kit will usually correct that issue. Its available from www.tvrepairworld.com the kit contains the capacitors and the CD with instructions.
yes, if you look at the back of the lamp unit you will see a plug, if you pushed a little too hard when trying to plug it back in you may have pushed the corresponding plug out. Take the back off and look and find the case that the lamp sets in and see if the connector has been pushed out.
Did your replace lamp come on the screen or did you lose picture? Just because the LED indicator suggest replace lamp it doesn't mean it needs it. If your pix was dull or loss of brightness then replace it, if not then just reset your lamp timer, check your owners manual for instructions.
that is a common problem with that model you will need the v26 power pwb repair kit and the V26 FMT pwb repair kit. You can get both kits at the following link which includes the replacement capacitors and instructions on where the capacitors are located. Heres the link. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
most commonly this is caused by a faulty power supply, more specifically 2 capacitors in the power supply. If you know how to use a meter and solder let me know and i will walk you through the repair. Otherwise service is needed and the repair should runn you $300-$500 depending on your area.
Now that i type that i did remember one more thing that can cause this. I would take the lamp out and look to make sure the connectors that it plugs into are not broken, sometimes when a new lamp goes in it doesnt line up right and brake the connectors.
