Question about Cell Phones

1 Answer

Close but no cigar

When i turn it on w/o the sim card all it says is "insert sim." i keyed in the number you gave me with the sim card in and it popped up "unexpected data." i tried to do the master reset but it asked me for a security code and i had no idea what it was. . .i don't want to get locked out of my sim by trying the wrong code too many times.

any other ideas?

thanks!

it wouldn't let me key in anything w/o the sim card. all it said was "insert sim" and it would let me dial 911!

it's the LG CU720. the first generation. i got it when they first came out.

it also keeps making beeping noises that i have never heard it make before, but when it makes these noises it's the only time i can hear calls or play music. . .

trust me, i am seriously confused as well. . .

    thanks again!

You mean you cannot key-in anything w/o sim card??

or you did not try to key in the code without sim card?

and can i ask what exact model it is?

like/example: LG CU720

if your phone is LG CU720.. power-on your phone w/ sim then

Type 277634#*# to put your phone in engineering mode.. then look for factory reset..

How to insert sim card in phone? and which card insert micro sim card or full sim card?

Depends on what phone as to what size. Most phones have the sim card under the back cover....some are under the battery. A few have a small door on either side of the phone. It should be relatively obvious as to which one will fit once you see the sim port.

Hoe to insert/reomeve sim card?...

The position of the SIM card holder depends on your phone model. It might be placed under the battery or on the side of the phone. Before inserting/removing your SIM card, turn off your phone and make sure no charger is connected to the phone. Insert your SIM card according to the illustration that you find close to the SIM card holder.
Note: Without a SIM card, you can't make or receive calls. In some countries you can make emergency calls without a SIM card.
