On my E210882 motherboard in an Emachine T2824, the card reader is plugged into J9F2 connector on the motherboard.

No display

You need to do some simple tests. First make sure the monitor is working - test it with another pc.
Start by disconnecting everything and try to boot at least in the BIOS; if it's the same then replace the power source and try again; if it's the same then install another video card in it and try again; if it's the same then replace the memory sticks and try again. Finally replace the processor and try one more time - if even now you can't get the video to show up then the motherboard is dead, replace it.

E210882 is the number on the motherboard on my Emachine computer. i'm trying to disable the onboard video card with a jumpper setting so it will reconize a older but working pci 3dfx monster 3d card I put...

You can disable the onboard by visiting your bios.

On boot it will tell you to press del f8 f2 etc to enter the setup from there you can navigate around to disable the onboard and choose the lane your older pci card is in.
