What size fuse are you using? If you have a different power cord than that which came with the radio, such as one from a regular cb radio like a cobra 29, it will only have a 2.5a to 3a fuse, which will blow everytime you key up, since it is pulling to many amps. You need to have at least a 7.5a to 10a fuse. I use 7.5 amp fuses, because I have a 100 count box, and have no problems. The Stryker radio I have in front of me has a 10a fuse in its power cord from the factory, though the cord on my bench only has a 7.5a and has not blown.

If your radio still blows fuses after this, please let me know. You can message me here or email me at

Got a connex 3300HP has a ranger board and chipset won't modulate recieves fine keys up relay clicks needle doesn't move no voice either cant find schematics

You may have a dead meter.
Modulation is audio's affect on swing wattage or pep. Notice that needle moving more with your voice.
Dead key or carrier wattage is without your voice enhancing the power only with mic keyed.
I can only assume that the chipset you are referring to is an ic chip audio or pll which must be working if you are receiving audio.
Check your mic cord................ transmit and modulation and even your receive volume can be affected by the cord/mic plug solder joints or broken wires here. this is a similar radio the General Lee, Connex 3300hp and Galaxy hp2 share boards i believe dont hold me to that thou.

I have a 3300 hp when i key up and start talking the sound shuts off on my end the needle still moves and people can hear me then when they talk back i cant hear them the radio is recieving and in order...

Keeping it simple first

1. Try another mic it could be a short at mic plug/cord
2. Plug in an external speaker or check internal speader wires for short

You refer to it as a Base so i would assume you are not mobile. Vibration in a vehicle can be devastating to solder trace side of radio pcboard.
