4 RED LIGHTS USUALLY MEANS THAT YOU DON'T HAVE THE VIDEO CABLE PLUGGED IN ALL THE WAY, HOWEVER I SUPPOSE YOU COULD HAVE A BAD VIDEO CABLE OR WORSE, THAT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE PORT ON THE 360 ITSELF, IN WHICH CASE YOU WOULD PROBABLY WANT TO SEND IT BACK TO MICROSOFT.

Well when I turn on my xbox 360 the third part flashes red.

Console with 3 red flashing lights


iv noticed that my xbox started flashing red and froze so i turned it off immeditly and felt the connections in the back were really hot and my xbox was really hot so iv moved it to an area where it could get good ventilation and keeps cool. havent had any more problems turning red it blows out alot of hot air out the back it needs to breath.
