first of all it is a method of downloading absolutely
anything (you name it you have it) from internet when you search for software, audio,
movies you will sometimes accidental stumble up into a torrent site but when
you download the file it will be a very small fie size in kilobytes but this
fill contains all the file locations that a particular file resides it cold contain
1000 of users information worldwide.
How does it happen?
a person might upload a file as a torrent and that person is
called a "seed" because he has 100% of the file will say another
person finds this torrent and start downloading it this person is considered as
a "leecher"assume he has
downloaded the file about 25%, When another 3rd person starts downloading this
file he can retrieve this file from both the seeder and leecher and the 3rd
person will also contribute to other people so by downloading a torrent you are
taking the file and *** well as you are helping to upload it to another person
When a leecher has downloaded the file 100% that person
becomes a seeder
How to download
You need a torrent client to download torrent files (torrent
extension is *.torrent)
Utorrent-a small light weight torrent client
Azureus-a java based torrent client
What Should I look
for when downloading torrents?
a good site (the hardest )
Because torrents are a popular way of spreading viruses (Trojan
horse) you must be careful when you are selecting the site
My recommendations’ are
For software/movies/games/TV shows-btjunkie.com,
For high quality movies-axxo.superfundo.com
2.Download the torrent with highest number of seed
not the leecher
when you do this you are on the safe side because more people have the complete
3.Be careful when downloading torrents that contains zip or rar format
some torrents are there to fool you after downloading it requires a password witch
you can’t find
4.Read all comments before downloading a torrent
this will be very help full for you before you download a big file example in a
movie torrent comment some people will comment about the quality of the movie
sound quality or is it a camera copy saving you valuable time
With utorrent you have to go into the options menu at the top right, then click preferences....once in there click on 'Connection'. The information window to the right has some changes you need to make....the first one where it says 'Port used for incoming connections'...change that to 64450 (you can use any random number over a certain range I generally choose one between 62000-64999). Now right below that, make sure the check box 'Add Windows Firewall exception' is checked. Now click 'Ok' and close the program then go and try to download your torrent.
(If you are using a 3rd party firewall program you will need to go in and enter an exception for utorrent manually)
To download any files eg. Basically it will depend on your ISP lines whether it is cable or wireless connections. The speed and efficiency of any "Downloader software" depends directly on the bandwith of your ISP connections.
There are many formats how the files are downloaded from the web like torrents, http, FTP, etc....
A downloader is just a piece of software to assist you to simplified your downloads. You have not specified what type of download protocol you would like to use for downloading movies.
If the files are very big ie > 4.5GB, preferably the torrents is a good option. Any torrent clients like Bit-torrent, utorrent, etc..... are good choices.
yes that indicates that there are no incoming connections..when u click on the triangle you come to an option that says to check if port is forwarded properly and to configure the connection speeds.. i am a regular u torrent user and my port is never forwarded correctly..despite the orange triangle i get very good download speeds..a trick i use is to use the"force start" option on the downloads..right click on a downloading torrent and use force start option..i also noticed that over time the triangle becomes green..hope it helps!
There's a possibility that torrent is being block by the router where your computer is connected to , if internet is working on this computer and torrent is the only one not working you need to open the port for torrent on your router....
