Easyshare software for zd710

1 Can I download pictures without using easyshare software?
2 I move pics from easyshare album to another folder in my computer after renaming it. When I delete pics from easyshare galleries it also deletes the moved and renamed files. How to avoid this?

The pics can be downloaded without the easy share software too.and second thing u said ur pics get deleted when u delete them from main gallery. this is because u copy paste ur pics as shortcuts to the main gallery and not as the original.to avoid this u will hve to drag them to ur destination folder and create a 2nd original copy of ur pics and dont forget to save them.saving pics is very much necessary

pls do rate the solution

thanks.
regards.

Yes you can, and I do it all the time. I copy the pictures to "My Pictures" folder. If you OPEN the DCIM folder by clicking on it, then SELECT ALL, then choose copy. Now close your camera folder. and OPEN "My Pictures" and then choose PASTE, all your pics should be inserted into "MY PICTURES". The reason your pics are deleted even after you've renamed them is because your OS is only copying them as shortcuts. If you don't want to copy or paste, next time you try to save one of your pics, hold down the shift key while dragging your pic to your folder and it won't move it as a shortcut. Hope this helps.

Unable to download pics off computer to digital photo album. Can't find photos in options given.

Open the Kodak Easyshare Software program then click on the "add pictures" once you have the window click on the model no. of the camera on the "select a location" box, wait for the pictures to populate then click on "add entire folder" to import the pictures to your computer. If you dont have the software yet you can download it at www.kodak.com/go/edl the software works w/ all digital cams.

Some pics won't upload

Hello
I'm not a fan of EasyShare I had a 753 it never did recognize.Try uploading using your computer software. When easyshare asks what to do just close or cancel it.If your computer finds your camera hardware and asks what you would like to do choose copy to folder.Copy them to a folder you will be able to find.If you get them that far you can import to EasyShare later. Another thing you may check is if the pictures which aren't being uploaded happen to be locked in your Favorites folder.

EasyShare is skipping some of my pictures-won't download...HELP!

Could those 2 pics be in the internal memory and not on the SD or the other way around.

Are the 2 pics taken in a dif. fileformat or faulty?

Note if there is a pattern or if this is occuring w. more pics than just those 2 before you call KODAK

EasyShare Transfer Problem

I would try dragging and dropping them to a thumb drive. Then take the drive to a store like Walmart that has a Kodak picture maker machine. Insert the drive and your pictures should show up. You can print them or even make a cd.

You probably can't turn it off. Download the pics from one of the cameras to a folder you create on your desktop and if the numbers are the same, simply rename them.

All the pictures in my kodak easy share program are coming up with a x in the thumbnail. How can i get the pictures back Thanks

Did you move the pics to another location on hard drive? The Easy Share program is just tool to view the pics that are stored on the hard drive. It uses "Albums" to view these pics. The Album is still there but it sounds like the pictures got moved.

Easyshare converted all of my jpgs to easyshare files

i'm not sure how to change the default picture program... but i can tell you that you won't lose pictures if the easyshare program is deleted. it's just an extra program to view/edit pics.... the actual pics are located in a generic folder somewhere on your computer. click properties on one of the pics in easyshare, and see where it's located. then just go to that folder through windows....

hope i helped a little, sorry i don't have the solution for the other part

Saving pics i take

you have to create seperate photo albums and folder names. the the camera labels your pictures 1 2 3 and so on. so when those numbers come up again they are overwritten with the new info. so to avoid this...create one folder.(main)... then open that folder and create a new (sub)folders within the main folder for every download hopefully 10 or so more pictures at a time per sub folder....name the sub filders according to the content or, the current date which they were downloaded. what works well with myspace is photobucket.com your personal picture storage online for free. but til then the simple way is to keep this main folder in my pictures...most sites assume your pics are already there. it is the default directory with your msp,s(myspace pik's) ready to upload.

I have lost all my pictures! Help

Kodak has a default folder where the software downloads pictures. For older version of Easyshare it is found on the hard drive under the Kodak Picture folder. For newer versions, the folder is found in My Documents. Do you know how to use Windows Explorer? You can also do a search using .jpg and see what the computer finds. I'm really surprised to hear your pictures are located on the D drive. Most older comptuers the hard drive is C and the CD-ROM drive is D. Are you sure you got the letters right?
