I have recently installed a HP photosmart wireless B110a at a clients office. However, a general printer error 0x6100004c keeps popping up and I haven't been able to do anything else. We, the suppliers are looking bad with our client - How can I get rid of this error and save face. An urgent response is much appreciated.

There are a few possibilities. Is this the encoder strip, a thin mostly clear piece of plastic about 1/4" wide, 13" long and the thickness of a piece of paper? Another possibility would be a ribbon cable, a white flat cable about 1/2" in diameter. Problems with cartridges recognition?
press left arrow, cancel, left arrow. Then you can reset the printer. It works really well for the HP photosmart b110a.

Switch off the printer, press # & 6 switch on the machine to restart. Printer will perform from the beginning, select desire settings..

If you are able to attempt printing from the wireless network, and the printer is making noise like it is trying to print then you are successfully connected to the network. If the printer is not even attempting to print then the printer may be offline. Click on the start menu and then select the printers and faxes, or the printers and devices folder. Right click on the printer name and select "use printer online". If the printer is already online open the printer queue and look to see if there are any errors for the print job. Normally if the message is saying there is a paper issue, you can remove all the paper from the printer, shut down the computer and printer, reload the printer with paper, and then restart the computer and printer.

My HP printer is also wireless but I had to connect a cable to it to initially get it going weird ain't it.
