You will need to reconfigure your wireless access point to work with your home network. You will need to plug an ethernet cable from your computer into the wireless access point and open a web browser. Depending on your wireless access point, point your browser to and see if it connects. You should be able to configure it from there. If you have more questions, you might want to refer to the hardware manual you received with the unit or from the manufacturer's website. Good Luck!

Delete information on drive

There are 2 ways to reset the information on the Linksys WRT54GS.
One is by using its web interface and the other is by using the reset button on the back part of the device.
The reset option is the easiest and fastest, you will need a small pin/paperclip as it is a inset button.
Follow the procedure below:
1) Turn on the device.
2) Press and hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds.(IMPORTANT: Make sure that the Power LED of the router is blinking when you press the Reset button. This indicates that the router is being reset properly.)
3)After pressing the Reset button, unplug and re-plug the router's power adapter.

I forgot my WEP password

On the back of the router there is a reset button or a pin-hole. Hold that in for 8 seconds and that will reset all your wifi settings to default. At that point there will be no password and it can be setup like new.

How do I reset the Hawking HWR54G to factor settings - delete passwords and security settings?

At the back of your device next to the WAN Port (internet port) you will find a small hole with a button inside it, turn your device off then press and hold the small button in while switching on your device, keep pressing down on the button for about 5 seconds, that will reset your router to default settings.

Keep Moving Forward.

You need to login to the router and go to the save/reload settings section.

You can reset this Wireless Access Point back to its default settings by clicking on Reset button, and then press OK button to confirm your decision. Note: you can also hold down the reset button on this Wireless Access Point’s panel for more than 10 seconds to reset its default settings back to factory default.

Did you follow the instructions:
from user manual page 31
To hard-reset the D-Link AirPro DWL-5000AP to Factory Default Settings,
please do the following:
• Locate the Reset button on the back of the DWL-5000AP
• Use a paper clip to press the Reset button.
• Hold for about 5 seconds and then release
• After the DWL-5000AP reboots (this may take a few moments) it will be reset to the factory Default settings
by personal experience: it's not easy to reset:
  1. be sure you press the reset button (a click should be heard)
  2. keep pressing longer than 5 seconds
  3. device must be powered.
  4. lights go off and on blinking
  5. you may try several time to be sure you succeed
  6. if successful you connect with Lan cable and log on as admin (no password)

Hawking wireless router to reset password

If you press the reset button you only make a reboot.
To reset all the value to the factory setting you have to:
- Power off the device
- Hold the reset button pressed
- While you press the reset button put the power back on

Now your gateway address is again, login is admin and password is not present (leave it blank).
