Color problem. my pda colours are just blue/purple/white on screen etc , please can someone help, done lots of soft and hard resets etc to no av..... .

A main board would never cause the entire screen to have a blue haze as long as you have video and I assume you do. This is a common issue of backlights being over driven and the temperature K value goes up from a cold white to blue purple color. If you order and replace the backlights it will have the right colors again. You can remove the screen and defuse sheets to get at the LED strips, power the set up without the panel and screens in you will see the lamps are blue colored. Red - Accessory Power
Yellow - Battery+
Black - Ground/Chassis
Orange/White - Illumination
Blue - Power Antenna
Blue/White - Amp remote wire
Brown - Celluar phone mute lead

Speakers:

Front Right - +Grey -Grey/Black
Frount Left - +White -White/Black
Rear Right - +Purple -Purple/Black
Rear Left - +Green -Green/Black

Hold down the two soft-keys (the ones below the screen) and while you have them held down you poke the reset button with your stylus. You'll then see a message on the screen saying 'press R to reset, X to exit'. Pressing the R key on the keyboard will hard-reset the device. It'll now take a few minutes to reboot and load all of the operator customisation etc.

This procedure will hard reset the HTC TyTN, Vodofone v1605 and all other HTC Hermes variants.

It is some time very important to Hard reset a PDA for example if you want your PDA to be factory default or or operating system corruption etc the following are the information, how to do a hard reset on every PDA as different PDA manufacturer have different methods.

To hard reset, press and hold the power button and press in on the reset button (reset hole) on the back of the unit for about 2-5 seconds. Release both buttons and you will see a confirmation screen asking you if you would like

Hello First of all please inform me if the pda displays ONLY a white screen. Are there any characters on the screen or something like this? Does a soft-reset or a hardreset helps solving this problem ?(please try these first). I will be able to assist you better if I know the answers to these questions. Hello, it isn't that simple as a broken charger. Try the following thing. Connect battery to the PDA, check that the battery LID is connected FIRMLY to the body (there is a contact there that woun't allow the PDA to start if the lid isn't connected properly, you may want to check it too, look carefully for a small black thing and check that it can be pressed). Then connect the pda for half hour to the charger, even if no light or amber led is flashing. Then make a master reset as showed here and connect the PDA to a usb sync cable with your computer. Press simultaneous the soft reset and the power button, then press only the soft reset button. The PDA should start. If not, there is a problem with a DC converter component on the mainboard or the connector I was talking about before. Even if the charger is broken, your PDA should power on from USB cable.
