i've just got nintendogs today and spent over an hour trying to teach my puppy its name. it would keep coming to me but then even though it was responding after awhile i'd get a message saying my puppy had forgotten it's name and then i had to start all over again with recording its name then try to teach it again. i've given up for the time being because if i hadnt given up when i had i would've got so annoyed it would be in the bin now!

Are you speaking into the mic? You need to have your mouth about six inches away from your DS. Say the name you have chosen for your dog in the same voice every time. By that I mean in the same tone.

Hope it helps~

Your DS has a mike in it so just say your puppy's name out loud many times and then it will learn it.

This is a very frustrating part of the game. Believe me I know from experience!! When you first get a dog you want to talk to it or call it over. You could even try to take it for a walk but it wont let you because it doesn't know its name! So when you train it you just have to keep saying his name. It took me like a month to get it right. It just takes time and patience.

My friend accedently deleted my first dog! i really want her back! She was a Huskey named Ellie on dachshund nintendogs! she is light gray!

Unfortunately, there is no way to get your dog back.
Once it is deleted, it is gone for good.
Make sure that only people you trust play your games so that this does not occur in the future.

Try keeping your voice the same tone. Or you can reset the entire game by pressing ABXYLR while on the "Nintendo" screen. If the problem continues, try checking your microphone for any foreign material.

Dogs can't die on Nintendogs.
And for your problem, perhaps you should speak alittle louder and clearer. If that doesn't work it could be a flaw in the game card.

Try putting back the action replay and taking back all of the changes and then saving the game afterwards. Sometimes if doesn't actually work well when you leave the cheats on and save the game and then only use the game without action replay. Hope this works good luck!
