Question about Nintendogs: Dalmatian & Friends for DS
Are you speaking into the mic? You need to have your mouth about six inches away from your DS. Say the name you have chosen for your dog in the same voice every time. By that I mean in the same tone.
Hope it helps~

Your DS has a mike in it so just say your puppy's name out loud many times and then it will learn it.

This is a very frustrating part of the game. Believe me I know from experience!! When you first get a dog you want to talk to it or call it over. You could even try to take it for a walk but it wont let you because it doesn't know its name! So when you train it you just have to keep saying his name. It took me like a month to get it right. It just takes time and patience.
