LIMITED HOT AIR IN HEATING

I have a 2001 Jeep Wrangler with A/C. When I turn the temperature dial to max hot air, I get only warm air. The blower and vent select switches work fine. Any ideas?

Try replacing the thermostat and coolant, that should fix your problem and not cost you a lot in the process.

Heater runs but does not heat

If it is blowing air at different speeds inside the car, I think you are saying the blower works fine, but blows no heat.
If it is running different speeds but is not blowing inside the car, you probably have a plastic flap inside the heater assembly inside the car that is not opening, not allowing the air to come in.
That might likely be a vacuum issue, or maybe a mechanical one. (whatever is supposed to open the flap)

If the flap is working and you are getting different amounts of air inside the car according to the speed of the blower fan setting you have selected, go to the engine temperature.
Is the radiator getting hot?
Have you a temperature gauge to tell if the engine is hot?
If not, you will need to warm up the engine, and then determine if there is hot water in the radiator.
If you pull off the cap to see, it could blow up on your face, so you will need to find someone who can help you with this.
If the radiator is hot after about 10-15 minutes of the motor running, you are perhaps not getting hot water to the heater.
You would need to check the temperature control to see if it is working. This is often a mechanical switch located near the firewall of the Jeep under the hood. Usually it is the size of a small fist, and has a heater hose running into and out of it, and has a wire attached to the top.
It might have a wire to it that should move when you select hot or cold inside the jeep at the control panel. Sometimes the control wire will rust or break.. The heater hoses should be hot if the hot water is running through them.
If your radiator is low on coolant, often the heater inside the car will not work.

AC BLOWS HOT. POWER TO COMPRESSOR AND FREON FULL

I recently had this problem with my car. If the heater temperature controller fails, there may be heat whenever the blower runs. To test this, turn on the car when it is not warmed up. Immediately turn on the A/C. If it blows cold, the A/C is good. If as the water temperature gets hot, the air gets hot, the temperature controller is stuck on the HOT position. A good auto store can get you the correct part and show you how to install it.

I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited, 3.7 L motor. The heater will not blow hot air. The A/C and fan work well. When I turn the temperature dial to hot, there is only cold air coming out. Can you assist me?

Jeeps are notorious for having broken temperature control (Blend Air) doors. A malfunctioning Blend Air Door actuator probably caused it to break. The dash will have to be removed to replacethe door and the door actuator.

2002 wrangler I6, no heat

Hi:
You most likely have a partially blocked heater core, and at least it isn't leaking on the floor.

You might have sucess in trying to flush your cooling system, but often you end up replacing the heater core to fix the problem. Other possibilities are blockage of the air inlet on your heating system by leaves or other debris, but not likely in this case if you still have good air flow, but just not hot air.

95 Wrangler Heater not working

Engine vacuum wouldn't effect heater temperature, and a fuse wouldn't either. Locate the hoses going into your bulkhead that go to your heater core. Carefully touch the lines to see any major temperature difference in the hoses. If one line is hot and the other line cold, You have a bad heater core. The lines should be pretty close in temperature and should both be hot. Be careful!

Heater not hot

does the heater core get hot, check the coolant hoses going to the core to see if both are hot, if they are U have a air temperature control blend door problem, most likely the actuator for the door has failed.
