E805- Fan Failure- open rear cover find PSU and check for rotation of cooling fan at power up ( spins as soon as display lights up)
If it isnt spinning - replace with correct part from Canon, the circuit is expecting a feed back specific value which will only be seen with the correct fan.
In canon IR 2016j, if you get error " check document", its a communication error. so you check the flat cables in control board ( is a board in the scanning section) * Change cable from scanning lamp * change 2 cables from ip board.
Hi this is not the same sub code but it's a start.

Title : E805-0002 Error Code
Error : E805 with a 0002 Sub
Workaround : This may be caused by a pinched wire that
goes to connector J108 B-18 on the DC Controller. The wire was pinched to the
frame near the riser to the DADF-A1 exit side hinge. Inspect the harness
indicated by the arrow in the picture.

E805 error code means failure of one of the many fans inside the
copier. If there is not a dash with four numbers after the 805 code on
the display, it is one of two fans - FM1 the transport bed fan or FM9 -
the reversing fan just below the fuser assy. There are several checks
that can be done but a too lengthy to be described. A tech maybe the
best answer depending on your mechanical ability.
