Have the same unit. Indoor pictures are hard to take, since there is no flash. You can change the light settings, but it still look dark unless it's a REALLY well-lit area. When using the camera, hit the settings button on the screen and tap on White Balance. Try using "Tungsten" or "Fluorescent" and see how those work for your lighting conditions. The camera works best when there's natural light present.
