Question about HP iPAQ RX3715 Pocket PC

Sync Problems I can't sync my Ipaq with my desktop after installing a handheld GPS device on my desktop. It shows the Ipaq as being connected but will not sync. I've tried to reinstall from the HP CDrom but it says all the componets are installed. I'm running WindowsXP. Please Help!

I cannot access windows vista to sync with my hp 6310 ipaq


Greetings - I'm going to guess that perhaps you installed Activesync 4.5, For Vista or Windows 7 you have to install Windows Mobile Device Center which is available HERE.


If you are using mobile device center that isn't the problem and Microsoft has a dedicated section of their website dedicated to solutions syncing Windows Mobile device with Vista, way too much for me to go over here. There's a great deal of trouble shooting information about sync problems HERE.

Ipaq 4700 active sync problems


i can try to help you , first are you using xp or vista ? and which version of active sync ? i found that after upgrading to active sync v4.5 my ipaq 4700 refused to sync , i have xp home , so by trial and error i learned several things , i tryed my usb cable in every usb slot i had , only to find some usb ports are more friendly to certain devices , for a lack of better terms , i deleted all partnerships in active sync , found that i needed to make sure active sync is not running on ipaq , go to settings / memory / running programs on the ipaq , stop all running programs , turn the ipaq off , then on the pc made sure firewall not locked , plug usb cable into pc , i leave mine in a port permanently , plug into the ipaq , it automatically turns the ipaq on , then i see 2 icons in pc system subtray start blinking , at that point i know sync is going to work , then active sync icon starts turning , lit up in green , and asks do you want to create a partnership , yes , follow prompts , and thats what has been working for me , now if i was to put the usb cable into a different port , no doubt it would give me grief , and the same thing with my phone and active sync , make sure active sync is not running on the device , sometimes i have to reset the unit , ipaq or phone , make sure unit is turned off them make the connection , give it a try .

IPAQ 1950 suddenly will not connect to PC to allow sync


Same problem, on four computers with two iPAQ 1950's. I installed ActiveSync 4.5, and all works fine now. This link will get you to AS 4.5:

This SHOULD work for all PDAs, but I have only used it for the 1950.

IPAQ H5555 connection problems


Hi, This could be due to a few issues, try these soloutions in order below: 1) If you have a jacket connected to the ipaq it could be preventing the ipaq from locating correctly on the connector. Remove jacket and try insering again. 2) Check that active sync is set up to detect the device on the usb port. The cradle for the ipaq may have a serial and usb connector. Ensure that just the usb connector is attached to your laptop. Try connecting again. 3) You may need to uninstall the USB cradle if it was connected before installing active sync. Try the following steps if this was the case: a) unplug the USB cradle b) uninstall active sync c)Click start then click control pannel then click system. Then click on the hardware tab. Look for the device under USB, right click on the device and then select uninstall. d) restart the laptop e) Install active sync f) ONLY after active sync has installed you can now plug the cradle back into the usb socket. g) Now connect the ipaq, it should now detect it.

IPAQ H5500 USB CONNECTION TO PC NOT WORKING


open active sync on ipaq and connect the cable with pc and ipaq. if not recognised perform a soft reset on ipaq. also check in  active  sync on pc >file> connection settings> allow usb connections is checked

Help with syncing!


Do you have Activesync installed? What is it doing? Do you have the appropriate boxes checked in Activesync to sync files -- if that is what you really want to do?? Can you copy and paste files from the PC to your "Mobile Device" in Windows Explorer on the PC?

Sync problem


Try downloading the newer version of microsoft Activesync from Microsoft download center.

This ought to solve connectivity problems.

IPAQ 4150 - Sync Problems


It might be a hardware problem - if you get it both with the cradle and a sync cable, then it might be the connector at bottom of Ipaq. But I don't know for sure. If it's intermittent like this then it doesn't seem like a software problem.
