Does the software you are using support dual layer? because there are a few off-brand software packages do not support DL burning.

D and e driver not showing in my pc

sir,
if you have reinstalled the windows recently or have purchased the machine recently then it might be that you system does not has the hard disc partitioned into c: , d: and e: drives...
to locate that your system has really those partitions present,
Please follow these steps,
1) right click you myComputer
2) CLICK manage.
3) click the disc management tab in the manger

here you will see you partitions and/or any other unused space.

if there is unused space then click that space and create a new partition, format it using NTFS and your system will show e: and d: drives. Please dont forget to like and rate this solution.
Thank you Fixya Team

I need to know if my DVD Drive can burn dual layer Discs. The Discs are DVD+R DL and my dvd drive is an Optiarc DVD RW AD-7200A ATA. Thanks

Hi anternidrumm,

According to the site below, the drive can burn dual layers discs:

"The 20x DVD multi writer opens up new dimensions for flexible read and write functions. This high-performance DVD/CD-burner is able to read your DVDs at a speed of 16x and CDs at 48x. It also brings fascinating dynamics into play when writing your blank disks. Now it can even write DVD-R DL two layer media at 12x, while reaching a speed of up to 20x for DVD+R and DVD-R. DVD+R9 and DVD+RWs are processed at 8x and DVD-RWs at 6x. And DVD-RAM can be recorded with up to 12x DVD speed. So how fast can it burn my CDs, you might ask? Even here, with speeds of 48x (CD-R) and 32x (CD-RW), it’s at the top of its class."

Make sure its a CDR and NOT a CDRW. Also make sure you have finalized the disc when you burned it.

Greetings,
Your dvd drive is not capable of burning a dual layer disc. You need to have a burner that is capable of sending the laser through to the second layer of the disc. That said you can get a DL burner for around 30 dollars. Click HERE to see one from Newegg.com.
I am not sure what you mean by 'burns, flip, burn dvds.' but if you make another comment I will respond.
Take Care,

IS THE HP TX2000 LAPTOP CAPABLE OF WRITING ON DL DVD

It's a general-purpose computer, so it is. If you meant the internal burner in particular rather than that laptop using external dual-layer burners, hit eject and read the model number off the bottom of the DVD tray. Google the part number and 'dual-layer' together to find out whether it's supposed to burn dual-layer discs and also find out -with what speeds- people have achieved empirical success burning discs.

Feel joy as search engines and libraries become productivity-enhancers for you; there is little risk of sterility as from ingestion of hormones or allergic reaction as from blood doping. I think.
