How to formatt hdd - Muratec MFX-1430 Copier

the hard drive should be located at the rear right side ( service access panel) remove this and open the formatter grounding case - there you should see a 10 / 40 gb laptop style Hdd -the connections may be loose- the Hdd may be dead- unplug the re connect all Hdd connectors and try again- if that doesnt work you'll need to replace with similar type and on power up enter the service mode and initialize Hdd- then on ready - setup the printer as new .

did you formatt the HDD.if so,you will have to reload firmware.This is an operating system start error.

The hard drive is defective and needs to be replaced. Unfortunate but its a pretty easy install. Have part on hand.

HDD is only inaccessible in format? Can you see the content? If not do you have content you need to backup? If so i would sugest recoreing it first and then sending it to the HDD brand copany for RMA

A 59.2:00 error says that a reused part has been installed.
If you paid for a NEW formatter get your money back and shop somewhere else.
If you paid for a repaired/reconditioned part, it won't work.
You need a NEW formatter.

You may have a bad sector where the OS resides on the drive. Download what is called a low-level formatter. This software is designed to lay down the actual tracks where data is stored. It is different that formatting with the OS. This will put the drive back to the original unformatted condition. After you do the low-level format, you will need to format the drive again with whatever version of OS you use.

mark partition or drive as active then you should be able to, delete every partition on disk then using the wizard to create a simple volume and then it will be formatted

firstly check your cable connections, then log onto your bios setup menu during startup and check whether the Hard drive is detected by your bios, if it is then you can try to format the harddrive using the ntfs system (use the long formatt) if you are using windows xp or later if using any earlier os then formatt with the FAT32 system.
If your HDD is not detected by the bios then try to download bios updates for your motherboard and install thed in windows. is this does not work then its time to get a new HDD. thanks

no fear. sorry to say that your usb flash is done for. extracting the information can be done, but it is a specialized job and thus will cost a small fortune. getting it repaired is fairly simple but the information inside might not be attainable due memory chip damage. does your fash disk power up (as in does the light on it flash when plugged unto the USB port)?

babyvalkyrie. your problem is slightly different. what you need to do is log onto the bios menu during startup if the bios recognises the the HDD then you can try to re-install windows on it, but during setup you will have to formatt your harddrive fully (formatt using the long formatt not the quick formatt. also use the ntfs formatt. If your bios does not recognise your HDD then you will just have to replace it.
