Hi, I recently installed Windows Mobile Second Edition on my Toshiba e400 Pocket PC, but I want to go back to the First Edition because of incompatibilities with certain software. Is there any way to do this? I found a file for the ROM Image on this website, but I bought my e400 in Canada, and I'm concerned that it might not work and/or damage my PDA. Neither the Canadian nor American Toshiba websites have this file available for download. Has anyone else successfully reverted back to the original windows mobile 2003?
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones). click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Good luck!

I have bought the Bluetooth Option Part for my e400. It was an "PC Bluetooth SD Card2".
In the specs of the Bluetooth Card is an SD/IO enabled SD Slot required for the Card.
So I think your Wifi will also work.
Sorry but I have bad news for you. If you buy one product like PDA or Notebook you buy automatically OS with license. As far as i know Microsoft do not sell Pocket PC as retail product. I can not understund why Microsoft does not sell the different language as they do for Windows XP. Therefor, a German PDA may not be flashed with another language version.
Only what you can do is make some updates in the installed language.
If you want to have PDA with English OS you must ask your local dealer whether it is possible to order such one.
I had the same problem on my PDA. It was impossible to start “Flash Update Tool”. All the time when I wanted to start it, there was audible warning. But after several attempts it works well. In my case there was some problem with connection settings in ActiveSync.
Only what I can suggest you is to check your connection settings and to reset PDA properly.
On Toshiba site there you can find some drivers and updates but if you need “Windows Mobile 2003 OS” for your PDA you should contact Service partner in your country and I am sure that they can help you.
Do you use companion CD for Active sync installation? Can you please tell me which driver is necessary to have? Is there any error message and what is content of this message?
It can also be that Active Sync is already installed! Please check at Add and remove Software in Control panel!
Otherwise go to www.microsoft.com and download a current version of active sync
As far as I know for almost every device you must install driver. Like you know the driver is very important because a driver acts like a translator between the device and programs that use the device. Each device has its own set of specialized commands that only its driver knows.
If this happen every time you start PDA I assume that the display is defective. I don’t believe that you will be able to fix this on your own. In my opinion you should contact service partner in your country.
