My pc is not letting me in anywhere it keeps asking for ie 9b how do i find it or fix it

The easiest way is to use a recent restore point from a date and time your PC was working well. You can get to that by booting up in the safe mode. If your Dell model has a maintenance tool software program, you may be able to use that to get to it. You didn't say what operating system you are using, but here is the site giving you the information you need for Windows Vista: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=windows-vista

My internet stops responding and it dont work well slow is not the word i would use try fix it as well as anything else i can think of any other help would be great

It could be a case of that you have an add-on that is not up to date try updating all your add-ons by clicking tools at the top of your internet explorer and select add-ons it will load with a list of add-ons attached to your internet explorer and should show you all the add-ons that are out of date, If you update all your add-ons and I.E is still running very slow then try to upgrade the I.E you are using for EG : If you are running I.E 8 upgrade it to I.E 9 ( Please note that I.E 9 is for Windows Vista up). If all this fails try using the chkdsk feature that comes built-in to all windows. To do this is easy I will tell you how in case you do not know.

1. Open up your start bar or Start orb.
2. Scroll up to programs
3. Left Click Accessories.
4. left click dos shell.
5. Type cd\ ( Please note this will take the directory base level or C:\ )
6. Type chkdsk /f and press enter.
7. You are now checking your Hard Drive and Windows Registry for problems and telling it to automatically fix them.
8. You will get so far in to the test and it will report that it could not complete as windows is being used and will ask if you wish to run this test when your computer restarts type y for yes and press enter and the dos shell should close by itself if it does not close simply click the x in the corner of dos shell window and restart your computer.
9. This will intiate a blue screen similar to a setup screen and if it finds any problems it will fix them for you and generate a report on what it has found and fixed, Your computer will continue to start up as usual from there and hopefully this has solved your problem. If not please refer to your computers manufacturer for further technical assistance. I hope this helps.

When i open up my emails i get the message out of memory on line 1. It freezes me from doing anything even close out different things. I have to shut down my computer and restart so I can get back on

This is a problem showing up on windows XP users after an automatic update from Microsoft which was designed to work on vista ..the fix is to get into the system restore (in accessories on start under system tools) and roll back a few days before it appeared...and stop the updates for internet explorer ..(go to the control panel ..and engage teh automatic updates..and select to download but let you choose...and all updates for Internet explorer ...may came ...just do not tick the case and install the rest without them ..
Or ..if you think you can not manage ..just install the Mozilla Firefox browser and use it instead of explorer until the issue will be fixed..It is much easy to use and faster anyway ..
A fix may be possible if you go to add remove software in control panel ..and remove the update for explorer ..(if it has explorer 8 ..just remove and stay with & ..if it has 7 ..remove and let 6 ..and if you are not pleased with it ..download and install 8 manually and skip the strange update ..)

Remove the update the caused the problem in add remove programs, then update manually, or turn off auto update. You can also install and use firefox instead of IE or try doing a repair to IE. Usually IE updates to version 8 and it has problems - version 7 works fine. Uninstalling 8 changes it back to 7. Version 8 will not download properly on a lot of sites - they changed it so U have to use Windows explorer instead to download from FTP sites, and it will not connect to some sites due to all of the security they installed. You could try using default settings on security and turn off filters to see if that works. When windows updates IE it automatically changes to high security.

Everytime i go on aol to shop for things or to check my msn mail it always says bad request or internet explorer can't display page..how do i fix it??..

its a problem with ie. reset ie settings by clicking tools, internet options, click advanced tab and click reset, follow the remaining prompts, close ie, open up another one, check, if no go. run sfc /scannow. click start, click run, type sfc /scannow and hit ok. wait for the process to finish, if no go. install the later version of IE, just dont install ie 8 yet. if no go, try to check if ie will work in safe mode with networking, (press f8 while sys is booting up or before it pass windows screen). if it works on safe mode with networking. run scan for viruses. if none were found. reinstall os.

On desktop, connect with IE, but error message pops up

  • Open your IE web browser. Click Tools on the menu bar. Click Internet Option in the dropdown list. Internet Options box will appear.
  • On the General Tab, click use default button for the Home Page. In the Browsing History, Click Delete..., and Click Delete All... button. On the Programs Tab you can make IE as your default web browser. Click "Manage Add-ons" button and Enable ALL the lists and then Click OK. You can also check the boxes you want to change in the Advanced Settings.
  • Update your Active X controls. You can search and download it in google.com
*Note: This takes effect after restarting your Internet Explorer.
Your vote will highly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Your problem: "I have Windows Vista installed on my laptop."

Unfortunately, as with a lot of MS service packs, they can crash some computers. You need your windows vista disk and, booting from it, you can select repair your vista installation. This should take care of the problem. Then don't update to sp1 for a few months.

Hi,

Check whether the hard drive is detected in the BIOS or not.

Remove the hard drive & wait for 3 minutes and reseat the hard drive.

Check whether all the cables are connected properly.

Try doing flea power & the power cycle.

1. Disconnect all the peripherals like keyboard, mouse, printer, scanner & monitor and power supply from the CPU.

And press & hold the power button for 1 min, it will release the flea power from the mother board.

Restart the system & check.

2. Disconnect everything.wait for 5-10 minutes and then connect every thing & start the system.

Restart the system.

In this case you can make use of the system restore.

For XP :

Boot in to safe made by pressing F8 key(function key 8) can be found on the top row of the keyboard.

login to your account & start the system restore from start-all programs-accessories-system tools-system restore.

select the date on which it is working fine.

After completion the system will restart automatically.

Now you can boot normally.

For Vista :

Open this link to know how to do that :

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940765/en-us

If the system restore doesnt help reinstall the whole OS.

If the hard drive is detected then you can now install the OS by changing the boot priority device to the cd.

Good Luck.

Live, Love, Laugh.
