Hi You Writing Great Post, But I Think you wrong some of things here, because:...

I know this doesn't have much to do with Tech Problems, but it is something that I can't ignore for much longer. Many of my friends complain to me about purchasing games and not being able to stand playing them for more than half an hour.
Can you imagine how bad of a game it must have been? Can you imagine the look on my face when my friends told me about it?

If you can imagine the two things listed above, I am more than 80% sure that you know how to pick out a good video game. If you can't imagine, or you just feel like reading up on some useful tips, here are some things to do to insure that the game you are going to buy will be an all time favorite and not a waste of money:
1. If a new game comes out, and you aren't sure if you should buy it, ask around. If no one you know that is even sorta into video games hasn't heard of it, the game is more than likely something less than "stellar." But if everyone is talking about, it is obviously an blockbuster game, and you would be wise to buy it.
2. Check the ratings the game got! This is a major part in picking out a game, because you will know just about where the game you are thinking about is ranked. A good site to check would be, the staff have reviewed almost every game in existence, so I recommend checking it out.
3. Have you heard the saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover?" When it comes to picking out video games, that statement is completely false. For example, if you see a game with furry animals on the cover, and they are all dancing together, I would recommend you not getting that game unless you are either a still "kid-spirited," or are getting it for a child.

Now you know three guidelines to picking out the right video games, follow them, and you will only buy the best of video games. This is Rippster1214, signing out.

A generic question about a video card - I currently have a nvidia fx5200 (I think that's it) 256MB memory on the card and I installed a fan cooler for it. I just bought a 20" lcd Monitor, but when...

Viewing movies on a computer is not really just based on how big is the video card RAM. Try watching a high resolution movie or from an original DVD. It should not pixillate as long as the file is supported and the your monitor can project clearly 256RAM is sufficient.
But if your a gamer and want a higher resolution, that is the only time you'll need not just the RAM but also the speed. If your looking for an upgrade and your not doing multitasking on you computer you should settle on 256 to 512MB but with a faster RAM DDR5.

If you are using a lcd monitor, it is very possible that your monitor backlight failed, have you tried connecting a different monitor to check your video adapter?

If the backlight failed, the image is on the screen, but is not visible unless you shine a light on to the screen

I have MS-7312. I want to buy a graphics card for watching movies mainly. My monitor is 23'' samsumg LCD. Is MSI Radeon 4650 DDR2 gonna work with it. If not please suggest some compatible card for watching...

Total of 1GB is min. for day to day operation.

If your are going to view movie and do other operations then bump it up to 2-4GB system ram.

Ram is cheap.

I will start with 2GB total.

If you talking about on one screen, you cant. BUT you can buy a TV card for your computer so that it will have a built in TV. so you can theoretically have split screen TV and computer. But what your thinking off only works on 2 or more player games consoles

Problem watching movies & playing games(screen flashes black on & off

This may not help, but you can try to lower the resloution to another widescreen format.
I'm thinking you may have your resolution maxed out and the video card is having problems with the movie games because of that. Possibly not enough video memory
Movies will work fine at lower resolutions, Not sure about all the games but they probably will too.
