Question about HP iPAQ RX3715 Pocket PC

1 Answer

IPAQ RX3715 Hello, Just wondered if anyone could tell me how I can place programs etc on the bar at the bottom of the screen. It already has the wifi icon down there but I would like to place one for the battery level there also. I know you can get to the battery level by navigating through the tree but I would just like to place it on the main screen. Many thanks.

The only answer that I know of is third-party software. I have a battery monitor program that puts a battery meter down there, just like what you want. It's called "BatteryWatch 1.02" and I got it from pocketgear.com. Here's the url to the download page: http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=2586 it's FREE. :-)

My desktop has no, desktop icons and no taskbar

Sounds like XP. Using the Start button select SETTINGs then select TASKBAR and START MENU.
Go to Start Menu and select CLASSIC. Now your familiar Icons will be on the screen.

If you want, on the first screen you can select AUTO HIDE. This will hide the bar at the bottom of the screen giving you more screen size program area. To access the bar just place your mouse on the bottom of the screen and it will come up.

I dont have the software that shows on screen when starting the WiFI or blutooth or lowdspeeker etc.

Hi

to activate the wifi switch it is i believe it is down of the left front of the laptop actually on the front of the laptop itself and normally a slide switch which needs to be pushed over to the right before it will activate

loud speaker icon depending on which operating system your running

if you are on windows 7 look over to the bottom right handof your screen if you cant see the audio
icon that looks like a loud speaker

can you see a upward facing arror

if so click on that arrow then click customize then go find the volume icon and click show icon
and notification

if on xp try this
start
settings/control panel
audio/sound
somewhere in there you should be able to tell it to show in taskbar

good luck

I disabled the wireless (wi-fi) using the shortcut key.now i want to access wi-fi but unable to start using the shortcut key..wht exactly happened? did the driver had been uninstalled or wht? plz tell wht...

It should toggle. I don't think the driver would get uninstalled. Usually it's a switch (on Acer) or a Fn (Wifi icon Button) that turns Wifi on or off.

You may have to search for networks by clicking on the signal bars on the bottom right part of your screen, in order to connect to the Wifi network that is at your location.

How to use internet on psp

Fully charge your PSP. Using WiFi requires a lot of battery power.

Verify that you have access to a router or HotSpot. If your router is password protected, then be sure you know what the password is. Be aware that some public WiFi access point are incompatible with the PSP.

Update your PSP's firmware to the most current version. Newer versions of the firmware have better Internet features than older versions.

Turn on the WiFi switch on your PSP. On older PSP models this switch is located on the left side of the device. On newer models, it is located on the top of the device.

Select the Internet icon from the PSP's main menu.

TO START BROWSING

Look at the screen once the browser loads. By default it will load the Sony webpage. You can set your own homepage later.

Use the analog stick to control the mouse cursor. The "X" button is equivalent to clicking the mouse.

Use the circle button to reject a choice or to disconnect from the Internet.

Press the triangle button to bring up the address bar at the top of the screen and the options bar at the bottom of the screen. Selecting the address bar, or any place on a webpage that requires text entry will automatically bring up the virtual keyboard screen from which text may be entered.

Choose the icons along the options bar at the bottom of the screen to change settings, set a new homepage or access other browser features such as browsing history, bookmarks or help. Tool tips will help you identify the features you are looking for.

Startup fails to complete properly

When on the screen, and you have no icons hold control(ctrl) down and shift key and press escape(esc) your windows task manager should appear, goto the applications tab, at the bottom goto the tab New Task and left click, another window should appear with a text bar, type in the text bar explorer.exe and click ok, all the icons and your normal screen should reapear.

If your screen goes back to normal goto the start bar and goto run or search and type "regedit".
When the regedit window appears left click the " + " sign next to Hkey_local_mechine the the plus sign on software, scroll down to Microsoft folder and click the plus sign, scroll down to Windows nt folder and click the plus sign, the plus sign on Current version folder, then scroll down to winlogon folder and left click on the folder icon, on the right hand side of the screen look for "shell" double click on the icon and delete everything in the text bar and type explorer.exe and click ok and exit out of the window, restart the pc and everything should be back to normal.

pls post back and tell me what happens.cheers.

When I turn on my computer the icons and start programs row at the bottom of my computer do not come up. Just a few icons at the top of the screen. How do I get the start programs and lower icons back on...

Move your pointer to the bottom of the screen until it turns into an arrow. Click and hold left button and drag up. If you want, after the task bar is back up, you can right click on it and select LOCK THE TASKBAR. That way you can't accidentally move it down again.
