Further to my solution... if you have a card reader on your computer... is it able to recognize it ?

    according to the service manual...

This error is detected at pressing of

Color Start button when a result for

access to a memory card to be printed is

outside the format of supported memory

cards or when image data is not found.

(This does not include situations when

    there is no memory card.)

It appears that sd card is not compatable with your printer

Try to unplug the power of the printer for about 10 mins then plug it back in then try to print again.

Here's what you can do. Backup your files from that SD card to your computer then reformat the card. Copy your files again to the card then try to print it.

Mustek PVR-H140 shuts down when I insert some SD cards

Yes that's correct newer SD Cards use faster memory chips that are not always compatable, not just with this unit but you can have the same problem with cameras and other MP3 players as well.

The PVR-H140 is quite old now so stick to the older type cards, oh and they dont like being hot swapped, this can cause a shutdown or driver corruption, insert them before turning the unit on.

Printing from memory card

I'm not sure but, my thoughts on the matter.
The camera my not support a 4 gig memory card, check the website or your owners manual for the size of memory cards supported. See what sizes of Memory they sell for it.
Formatting is NOT a big deal. You just have the camera do all that, just find where option that is.
