You don't state the type nor capacity of card you're attempting to use, but the problem you describe is typical of having used the wrong one.

Your SV-AV50 is compatible with SD cards only up to an absolute maximum capacity of 2GB. I strongly suspect that you have tried to use an SDHC card which will fit in the slot and looks the same, but as a later development it's incompatible with all hardware designed for regular SD cards only..

Your camera cannot be updated to use SDHC cards, so if my guess is correct then your fix is to use the correct card type.

Another possible cause is if you have formatted the card via your computer. You must never do this, always re-format in the camera only. If that's what you have done then with a fully charged battery try to re-format the card in your camera, but sometimes this doesn't work and the card cannot be used in the camera again.

The final causes are that either the card has failed or that the camera has failed. The first can be fixed by replacing the card (many major brand names will replace them even if the warranty has expired), the latter is not a DIY fix and the camera would need a professional repair, but you can buy brand new, no-name, basic models of similar or better specification for far less than the repair costs to yours.

Formmating code for nokia 5130c-2

Hard reset/Format/Restore to Factory Settings the phone by entering *#7370# and you will need to select "YES" for restoring to factory defaults. Remember that it will delete the settings and data saved in the phone not on the memory card but it will still be advisable for you to have a back up of everything before doing so.

NOKIA 2700C MEMORY CARD NOT FORMMATED SHOW PC NOT DETECTED MEMORY CARD WHAT CAN I DO PL HELP

Use a card holder to connect the memory card to the PC and if this is not detected check it out on another PC. If not detected then the card is defective. If not you can right click and format the card after removing all the files from the card.
If the card is not detected it is damaged and you can try if there is a free replacement from the dealer.

How to formmat sd card for wii? i did it in my laptop but next day it changed back so i formmating again and same happened. how could i formmating permenant? this is 4gb memory card. thanks! tammy

I don't think that all memory cards work on the Wii. I had problems with some new SD cards to because I tried four new memory cards. The card specifically for the Wii worked, along with the Wii PowerSaves card (like action replay) but two picture memory cards did not work. I think only some cards work because on the nintendo website, it says that only Nintendo licensed SD cards work so... sorry.

Dear taran_2005, Thanks for your reply to resolve the issue. After sending you my issue regarding Nikon Camera D80, I formated the card. All snaps were deleted as expecter. Display "No Memory Card? and...

Please make sure your memory card does not have the "Lock" setting clicked on. It is a small slider at the side of the card. Check this out and try to save again to your card.

The memorycard doesnt workl

I had the same issue. I ended up having to use 2 old phones and had to copy everything over to them to save my stuff. After I formatted it I then recopied everything over to it and it worked. Otherwise copy everything over to your computer with a card reader. Once your card is formatted you can then copy everything back over

Memory sticks empty and shows no memory available

i have a solution that worked! Notice: save all the needed data on your computer, because Formatting your Memory stick will wipe everything out!
if you have a Sony PSP, or know someone who does, replace the memory stick that says "no memory Space" in to the PSP port, go to "Settings" which is the left-most section of the PSP main screen, then scroll down to "System Settings," select it, Scroll down again to the "Format Memory Stick" selection and press "X" follow on-screen instructions and  SHAZAM!  its ready for action in your camera again!
