Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer

Kenmore Elite My Kenmore elite HE31 is flashing the code HF when it gets to the spin cycle. It turns off and starts beeping about 17 mins into the cycle. It is a washer. What do I need to do? I won't work. Thanks I have a similar problem with the "HF" code. I've checked the water hoses going in, and much to my chagrin, there were no screens. I've put new screens in, but continue to get the HF error on both warm and cold wash cycles. Water seems to be flowing in just fine, but I noticed a "kick back" on the drain hose around the same time an error would show up (usually at 44 minutes and 18 minutes left on the Normal cycle). I disconnected the drain hose from the standpipe drain and let it drain freely into the nearby utility sink. Although I heard a little sucking through the drain hose, the machine finished the cycle. I was able to do a second load of laundry without any errors by draining into the sink. I'm still testing (and I've got lots of laundry to test). Is the sucking normal? Could my machine be full of sand? If so, how could I clean it out? My extended warranty expires very soon, and I'm wondering if this is a washer problem that would be covered, or a slow septic issue [though I haven't seen slow septic elsewhere], or just a washer problem that wouldn't be covered by warranty that I could perhaps fix myself.

Hi,

F/H No water detected entering machine or Pressure switch trip not detected.

If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed.

Or

If the control has turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow meter has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
If there is no water in the unit:
1. Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way.
2. Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves
3. Verify inlet valve operation
If there is water in the unit:
1. Verify Drain pump operation
2. Pressure Switch Hose is in good condition and properly connected to Tub and Pressure switch
Verify there is not a siphon problem
Verify wire harness connections to:Inlet Valves, Pressure Switch, Drain Pump, Flow Meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
Check all hoses for possible leaks
Verify pressure switch operation

Verify flow meter operation
Verify CCU operation.

hope this helps.....

Don't worry about noise if it works don't knock it..you probably mean FH instead of HF ..you probably solved your problem when you pulled it from standpipe ..if drain hose fits too tight in standpipe water will siphon from machine and could cause the FH code

Kenmore elite HE31 front loader will not start but has power

This seems to be a problem in the start switch diode. If all works fine, but will not push and start and all cycles seem to work when working it manually, this is in the switch timer electronic diode is not working properly. Sometimes a code will not come up, because cycles are still working when manually changing wash cycles. There is seperate switch or electronic trigger that starts the machine, and has probably worn out or not making good contact. If you can unplug machine and then take off panel, trying spraying behind start switch with electronic cleaner to free up any possible dust or dirt. Might get lucky.

My Kenmore elite he3t is giving me a problem in the spin cycle. Even thought the spin setting is set on high or extra high, the drum turns very slowly and will eventually stop and the washer starts...

The machine will not advance to the high-speed spin cycle unless the water is drained first. The F02 error code manifests this condition as it means draining problem. Either the pump filter is blocked, the drain hose is clogged/kinked, the pressure switch is stuck in the full position, or the pump itself is not working. The display can be cleared by pressing the Pause/Cancel button twice.

Disconnect power and remove the three screws attaching the lower front access panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off the cabinet. You can prop up the bottom front edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access and remove the screws more easily.

Once the panel is off, remove the filter by turning the knob counterclockwise. Clean the filter from any debris that prevents water from draining out properly. Click on the link below for further troubleshooting should the cleaning of the filter does not resolve the problem.

F51 error

Hello, the F51 code is a motor rotor position sensor failure. It's best to call in the warranty service as there is a bunch of tests that need to be run to determine if it's the sensor or control board. If the tech wasn't any help, contact the store for a replacement.

Thanks

Stop frequently on spin and rinse cycle F6 code

I have a Kenmore Elite he4t front load washer that was working fine and then we moved and now it stops washing midstream and flashes an F and a H. I have to pause and restart then it will stop washing again after a few minutes and flash the same codes again. I reset again and then it stops with 1 minute left and will not drain.

the F code is a puwer outige. This is how to fix
Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Select
DRAIN & SPIN if there is excessive water in the washer.
Re-select cycle and press START. If the problem remains, call

This is what an HF code is.

Check the following:
Are water faucets completely turned on?

The HF error code is a hot fill valve control issue. Here are some tips:

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
  • If there is no water in the unit:
    1. Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way.
    2. Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves
    3. Verify inlet valve operation
  • If there is water in the unit:
    1. Verify Drain pump operation
    2. Pressure Switch Hose is in good condition and properly connected to Tub and Pressure switch
  • Verify there is not a siphon problem
  • Verify wire harness connections to:Inlet Valves, Pressure Switch, Drain Pump, Flow Meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
  • Check all hoses for possible leaks
  • Verify pressure switch operation
  • Verify flow meter operation
  • Verify CCU operation.

This is directly from the Whirlpool tech sheets we use to verify these problems. Make sure you have the hot water on fully and the hoses and strainers inside (at the fill valve and hose connection) are clean and debris free. let me know if this helps you out any.
