Can I use a AGP 8X ATI Radeon 9550 256MB 128bit Video Card in my pc?

No. The mainboard you are listing is not capable of AGP cards. AGP cards have gone the way of the dinosaur. Modern mainboards do not have AGP-compatible slots anymore, only PCIE 1x, 8x, and 16x slots.

Hello,I can't connect this card to PCIex16 female J41

You can't use that card in a PCI express slot because that specific video card uses an AGP connector (which is no longer a supported card interface). You will need to use a motherboard that has an AGP slot.

Hi I have a supermicro x8sti Server Board inside

Basically you have two choices for installation of video card:
1. To purchase small form factor PCIe card suitable for installation on 1U server chasis or
2. Purchase PCI express riser card and to install most full-sized PCI Express cards (Check this link for PCI Riser )

What type slot is it for video card

You have a PCI-E slot. It may be 8x or 16x but they are all backwards compatible. The other consideration for a video card is physical space in that case and your power supply. What video card were you looking at buying?

How to install Pci-e 16x in a pci slot

Do not put a PCI-e card in a PCI slot. It will not fit and the card won't work. The PCI card has 58 or 60 pins on each side with the slot (62 pins would be present if not for the key notches for alignment). PCIe 16x cards have 32 pins.

There are adapters to put a PCI card in a PCIe 1x slot (will fit any PCIe slot) or a PCIe1x card in a PCI slot. See http://www.amfeltec.com/index.php for a sample of the adapters. For the PCIe 16x cards, you need a new motherboard.

If you are placing a PCI-e 16x card in a PCIe 16x slot or a PCI card in a PCI slot, then open the side of your case. Locate the matching slot (remove the current card) or an empty slot depending on your motherboard. Depending on the case, you may need to remove a screw to remove the old card. Wiggle the card straight up to remove it. If you are putting in a new card, you will need to remove the cover from the slot. (For some larger PCIe 16x cards, you need to remove the adjacent slot cover as well.) Some covers just pull straight up or pry a lever up and then pull; for others, you will need to use a screwdriver to break the cover out. Make sure there is sufficient room near the slot for the card. (You may need to move other cards around.)

Then line up the card so that the back of the card will fit into the opening and the contacts on the bottom of the card are above the center of the slot. Firmly press the card down into the slot without changing the alignment. You may need to wiggle it (press down on the back and front, alternatingly). Then make sure the card is fully seated. Attach the addtional power cord from your power supply, if needed for a PCIe 16x card.

Close your case. Then if this is a new video card, turn on the computer and enter the BIOS (press F1, F2, F10, Esc depending on the machine). Disable the on-board video. Then reboot the computer and load the drivers you need for the card.

I hope this helps.

Support graphics card or not

Yes, it has 1 PCIe 16x slot. This can be used for a graphics card. Just make sure the video card you get is for a PCIe slot.

Hi ,i just wanted to know if the intel g41rq motherboard is compatible with the gts250 nvidia graphic card? since the system is kicking me out from most of the games such as call of duty etc...

Yes, it will work, just at the rated speed of the PCI-e 16x slot.
And as long as you have a power supply capable of using the card.

Capacity Per lane:
PCIe v1.x (your motherboard ): 250 MB/s
PCIe v2.x:(nvidia gts250 card): 500 MB/s

And keep in mind:
- the onboard graphic card will be disabled when installing a pcie card.
- the onboard cared uses a vga connector and gtx250 uses dvi

Help about mainboard MSI-7312 ver 1.0

ya u can purchase AGP8x graphic card. But
AGP8x slots become old, now PCIExpress 16x is in the market it is better, advance gives higher performance for games and software than AGP gives.
AGP is also costly than PCIE graphic cards.
So, i want to suggest u that u should purchase Intel Original Board
of G965, G45 series boards it has lots of benefits configuration with DDR2, 4SATA ports, PCIE-16x and u not need to purchase graphic card
because these board supports T&L it has 256MB to 384MB inbuilt graphics which can play most of the high graphics games without graphic card. I am to using G965RY board with 384MB inbuilt. but company has stop manufacturing this board. Now more better boards have launched in the market which is better then 965RY.
Now its upon u what to do. Good Luck

Compatible AGP at 16x?

After a brief check of motherboard specs, what I see is, the 7600GT card will run at 16x in the 16x slot, but if you have TWO SLI cards they both run at 8X. Makes sense. Unless there is a public outcry concerning this, I'd suspect the info you have is a bit off. ZT3000 "Beta tester of "0"s and "1's"
