Re: e400 + gps

As far as I know for almost every device you must install driver. Like you know the driver is very important because a driver acts like a translator between the device and programs that use the device. Each device has its own set of specialized commands that only its driver knows.

Tomtom will not connect to gps

From inside Tomtom, have you tried "change preferences" then scroll through to "show GPS status" then "configure" select "Other Cable NMEA GPS" select "Done" for GPS baud rate of 4800. Now select "Serial Cable on SP2 and then "Done"
Hope it helps. Philpot

No the Axim does not support Serial Interfaces at all. It also doesn't have USB Host capability.

Problem serial connection e400 using cradle

I am not 100% sure if I am correct in this, but I am quite sure that the e400 does not support a serial connection. Only the e800 does.

E400 usb host capable of using external hd?

As far as I know if you want to make this kind of connection I suppose that you need suitable driver for it. Sorry but there is no any known driver to me. In my opinion there are some another reasons that speaks against usage of HDD. First of all HDD need external power supply and secondly the HDD is very sensitive again agitation.

GPS device not recognized

Firstly if you have a driver currently installed on your e330 for the GPS system, install it. (To uninstall - Start => Settings => System (Tab) => Remove Programs. One of the items in the list should be something like "PL-2303 USB Driver" Highlight it and click remove. You will probably be prompted for a restart to complete the process) Next, either reinstall the driver you got originally with the GPS receiver, or if you email me I will send you the one I have got. You will again need to restart your Pocket PC to complete the installation process. When you start your Tom Tom software, you may need to configure the GPS receiver. To do this, tap on the bottom right hand side of the screen, where the signal strength meter is and again tap on the signal meter on the next screen (top right corner) Next, click configure, specify your GPS hardware (I would presume you have a generic NMEA GPS?) click select, select your devices baud rate (again unless you know otherwise, and do consult your GPS receiver manual, I think the generic is 4800 and click done. Now you should have 4 options of how your GPS device connects to your Pocket Pc. The bottom option should say something like "COM4:" Select that one and within a few seconds the GPS Status should spring into life.

NAVMAN GPS Card problems

It is not easy to say what the problem can be. In my opinion you should contact the producer of this GPS receiver and ask them what the problem is. If this has been tested the producer must be able to help the users.

E750 use with Garmin 76 GPS

If no one has any solution for your issue in my opinion you should check the manufacturer’s site. Maybe there you can find out if this unit is compatible with your PDA. Usually you can find it under support or FAQs.
