Question about Zanussi ZI921 / 8FF Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
A few weeks ago, the freezer started making a really loud rattling noise, which came and went during the day. It stopped when I opened the door but started again as soon as I closed it. This carried on for a couple of weeks and then seemed to stop. Now the temperature in the freezer is rising to -11 and the alarm keeps going up. I've turned it up to the maximum setting and tried switching it on to quick frost but it's not making any difference. Please help!
My husband left the freezer door open a couple of months ago, causing ice to form. The loud rattling noise was the fan hitting the ice. The reason why the temperature started to rise but the noise stopped was because the fan had got stuck in a block of ice and was no longer working. Simple solution - defrost the freezer for 24 hours. Touch wood, it is all working fine now!

Is the top basket pushing against the fan cover and causing the noise? try operating the switch (top right inside freezer door) with door open and top basket out a little.
I think the top basket is not as deep as the middle basket to avoid this problem. If it is too deep it might be keeping the door open and affecting the temperature?
