Re: i need help
All drivers are hardware specific therefore it would be
required to determine the brand and specific model number of the
laptop. In some cases, there are multiple versions of the same model so
might as well post this also.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back brand & mode/version, how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

control panel sounds and audio, audio you will find the necessary adjustments to makethere or control panel, administrive tools, computer management, device manager, sound, could be a yellow question mark? right click to re-install drivers hope this helps
Make sure all wire are tight and that you have power to the speakers.
Turn the sound all the way up and put the speakers up to your ear, if you hear a buzzing that means your speakers are okay and you need to configure your computer.
If you have to configure them with your computer plug them into your comp and go Start>Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Sound then select your speakers as default device and you should be good to go, if you have any further questions just comment back and i would be happy to further assist you,
Hope this helps
You must try 2 options.
Try uninstall sound card drivers, reset comp., and again install sound driver.
In second case you must try new system, with full format hard drive, because you can have trouble with virus, and that is only safe way.
You can also try another sound card, but I think that is you sound card OK.
*** you told that you have searched on the net still give one more try on google.com ar you can go windows vista ultimate fro your comp as you dont need to vista has its own generic drivers you dont need to download drivers except for chipset and ethernet driver
Uninstall all sound drivers for the card. Delete all folder and use search to locate everything related to the sound card. Remove card , turn comp on w/o card. Turn off reinsert card.
Should fix it.
Vista has many, many issues like this.
If you have more types of sound listed in "SOUNDS" delete all but Audigy.
Re-install drivers AFTER you get ALL NEW VISTA UPDATES>
