Clicking issues on logitech wireless mouse

  • 1 Use the mouse on the same side of the computer where the Logitech USB transmitter is attached so there is a clear signal between the transmitter and the mouse.
  • 2 Check the USB transmitter that comes with the Logitech mouse to be sure it is correctly plugged into the computer. The red LED should be illuminated on the transmitter if it is connected properly. If not, the signal cannot reach the wireless mouse.
  • 3 Turn the mouse upside down to check the on/off switch. Be sure it is switched on.

  • 4 Check the battery compartment by sliding the top housing off the mouse to confirm the rechargeable batteries are installed correctly.
  • 5 Charge the batteries if the mouse LED does not illuminate. The charger cord plugs into the front end of the mouse and the other end connects to a free USB port on the computer.
  • 6 Clean the desk surface or other flat area if the mouse is not tracking. The problem could be dirt or grease interfering with the tracking ability of the device.
  • 7 Open the Logitech software called SetPoint, which manages the mouse, to troubleshoot button functions. Open the program by double-clicking SetPoint from the list of software on the computer, then click "Mouse Settings." Click the "My Mouse" tab and check (or uncheck) all the task boxes that are desired for operating different mouse functions, then click "Apply" and "OK."

My mouse keeps stuttering, I really don't know why. I changed the batteries and installed the latest drivers available. It works on and off. The stuttering really makes it unusable. I'm not sure what I...

When the mouse stutters, check the adapter plugged into the computer. If the little light on the adapter (labeled #2 in the picture) is blinking then you may have accidentally pressed the sync button on the bottom of the adapter or the mouse.

To fix this problem, press the sync button on the bottom of the adapter.
Next, press the sync button on the bottom of the mouse.

Mouse is considerably over sensitive. Every time I attempt to describe the mouse, there is never any record of the "N/M" R0006, PID LZ938AK, & P/N 01-001100. Problem!!!

    • Hi, click on the "Start Button," next in the (right area) click on the "Control Panel," in the window there will be "listings" different categories; choose the "Mouse," from the "Hardware and Sound" click on it to open the next window. In this window, if its not showing the Buttons category at the top of the window , select it by clicking on it; there should be a (Double Click Speed) area somewhere in the middle from your point of view, adjust the speed and try it out a few times until you are satisfied with the movement. You can always go back and change some of the other movements available. I suggest, click on the "Device Setting" button, next, once the window open, click on the "Setting" button just below the "highlighted" (Name of the device TouchPad, or maybe different Name). Try out some of the "items listed" Tapping, Virtual Scrolling... "You must click on the "Apply, OK buttons when finished." Note: Restart the computer; this will make sure the changes are correctly applied, and working properly. "Rating the solution will let me know if the problem is fixed, or you will need further assistance, thanks."

Mouse will randomly double click or have to click several times to work

Please check whether there are any buttons on the side of the mouse you may be clicking these at the same time as you are single clicking.

You could also try going into Control Panel --> Mouse
Try Slowing down the double click speed
If that doesn't work try speeding it up

Another problem with a laser mouse is it jumps around the screen randomly if there is a pattern on your mouse mat or desk, or if either are too shiny or even glass as the laser reflects incorrectly on these type of surfaces.

    Google Earth

I have a LX5 cordless mouse that was part of my S510 desktop set. Prior to this set I had a seperate USB keyboard and generic optical usb mouse. I noticed after installing the SetPoint software that i lost all use of the middle mouse button. Here's how you can restore the use of the middle button. SetPoint reassigns the middle button so that it no longer functions as the default middle button function. This can be changed in the SetPoint configuration. (Look for the icon in your system tray) Click on My Mouse and select the middle button. It's number 3 on my list and was originally titled zoom, but, clicking on a button name will give you a picture of the button location on the picture to the left. Once you locate the middle wheel button, in column next to the list, under select task, select other, then from the drop down list, select middle button. apply and save your settings by clicking ok. pan and tilt will now work properly in google earth.
