This solution is Applied for DESKTOP PC's

Just open the cabinet of u r CPU and on motherboard u find the sound card connector behind that u find a small IC on that u will be having name of the sound card i.e,for example Realtek,Sigmatel etc
like this or else it will be RTL followed by some number just make a note of the number and put in google u will get a link

or else

If it is a Branded Desktop just put the model number in google

or else

IF it is a Laptop just put the brand name and model number in google u will get a link

i have a compaq presario f750 and it originally had vista on it. well my friend just took everything off and now it has windows xp. i am excited except that it has no sound or internet drivers. i don't know very much about this computer hardware, software, driver stuff but i would like to get this taken care of asap.

can anyone help me with this?
