Question about Mitsubishi WS-65809 65" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

When there?s any bright white light, the unit just loses the signal .

The TV is a 65 inch Mitsibishi TV (tube / rear projection). Everything else works fine without a hitch (Tivo, Cable, Wii, PS3). It is only the xBox360 When there’s any bright white light, the unit just loses the signal for some reason and nothing is displayed, there’s not even any sound. When the white light dies down, then the signal returns. Needles to say, this makes watching videos through the Xbox 360 virtually impossible, as well as playing several video games.

Good Day, littlejhon4u;
Try this and/or try using different input: White raster with no signal, washed out looking video with signal. Access the service menu, "menu 0157" use the audio button to select "video chroma" adjustments, use the video button to select item "68 - AG1", use the adjust button to change the setting to 0, then press the enter button to store the change. Good Luck, big IRISH. PS; Adjust this ONLY.

Aside from the customer controls you might be able to turn the screen controls up a bit to get more brightness, they are on a black block inside the set.

My 65 inch Mitsibishi rear projection lost the red when viewing Cable, but the red works when viewing dvd's or playing games. Is it the red color tube or somthing less sinister?

Okay - lets' verify a couple of things -
1) how do you have cable connected - through -
A) Cable box or
B) no Cable box and the RF Coaxial Cable directly connected into the Rear Projection RF input connector.

\What I believe is that you have possibly a Component cable 'Red - Green - Blue' that is hooked up between your cable box and your TV.
Now the issue is that the Red connection isn't pushed in all the way on either the TV or the Cable box.
Let me know.
Blessings,
A/V Media Guy
