If you have an iPod touch, you have the option of a password
that Apple calls an access code, protecting your data set. Someone trying to
access your iPod, after unlocking it or put it, the access code required to do
so. However, if you forget your password or the wrong type, you will eventually
see a warning that the iPod touch has become disabled. In order to unlock the
iPod touch after you forget the password and still access your content, you
must connect to the computer that was last synchronized.
1. Connect your iPod touch to the computer the last time you
synced the music. Open iTunes if it does not open automatically.
2. Select your iPod touch in the Devices list and click the
"Summary" tab in iTunes. Click "Restore" and when prompted,
click "Back Up" button to make the backup to store your iPod touch in
iTunes.
3. Click "Restore" when prompted, after the backup
saved. After the restoration, click "OK".
4. Choose the most recent backup from the drop-down in the
"Set up Your iPod" screen. Click "Continue" to restore your
iPod touch.
