What a mess this was! I had followed all of the direction exact, and nothing worked right. I finally deleted the printers (all of them) and went through the add a printer wizard (find this by control panel, printers..) I had windows locate, then changed the file to USB as it tried to install on another location. FINALLY, after 3 days of trying... I can now print.
PLEASE NOTE: there was nothing in the resolution center to help me here, and I am not a computer geek, so it was definitely a "fun" install. This may resolve your issue.
Also, check the connection once it says it is installed by putting in a memory card and checking to see if you can view the photos on the card!

To all Lexmark owners with the lost disk problem.
If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,
Click here:Official Lexmark Drivers and Software
A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find the file,double click on the file ,then if you get in troubles, follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:
Contact Lexmark here, to see if the disk for your printer is available.
Note:some printerdoes not work on Vista, if you do not find any driver download for Vista on your model page, that means your model is not Vista compatible.

Try to re-seat the cartridges in the printer. Open the printer
cover > remove the cartridges > close the printer cover > re-brick you
printer by pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where
the power cord is plugged in, and re-plug after 10 seconds. When the printer
turns on, reinsert the cartridges and close the cover. Try to print a document
again to verify that the problem is fixed.
If that doesn't help, the problem could be due to a clogged print
cartridge nozzle. Please follow the steps below to fix print quality issues
with your model:
From the Maintenance tab, select Clean to fix horizontal streaks.
Your printer will then print a page forcing ink through to clean the print
After printing the test page, try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.
