Question about Yamaha RX-V890 Receiver
My receiver has been sitting in storage from last move and I do not have remote- but my yamaha rx-v890 front speakers do not work.
Firstly ensure that the 'mute' has not been accidently engaged.
Have you tried connecting other speakers to the same output and cables? If the sound now works, the problem is with the speakers (providing all amplifier settings are correct and wiring is correct). It would be highly unusual to have a problem with both speakers or two sets of cables. Alternatively connect the problem cables and speakers to an alternative source. If they work on an alternative, you are looking at an amp issue.
