Question about Motorola HT1000, MTS2000, MTX8000/9000 Compatible 2 Way Radio Battery Eliminator
My employer just gave me about 10 or 12 of the mtx 8000 radios along with one of the kind that has the phone on it. i'm not so worried about the phone function, but i would like to know how to program the unprogrammed channels or reprogram the channels that are already on a frequency can you help
The MTX8000 radio is programmable using a the appropriate cable, RIB (radio interface box), and Motorola RSS (radio service software). The hardware you can purchase through a Motorola dealer or an online auction site. The software is by subscription, and is owned by Motorola. (There are a few pirated versions around, but not necessarily stable.) They are pretty tight about who has access to it. You might check with your employer to see how they had the units programmed previously. The frequency which is currently them is most-likely licensed to them through the FCC.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
