Question about Apple M9034LL/A Keyboard

Response to your solution

Thank you for your prompt response, Ekse! I will certainly try your solution but because of a physical disability that requires use of a power wheelchair, I can not do this myself. It may take at least until Monday for one of my caregivers to take the keyboard to another computer. [The first new keyboard has already been returned.] May I take this amount of time to get back to you? Thank you, again - Carole

When I reply to an email with the keyboard on comcast, the email response slips to the bottom of screen so I cannot see what I am typing.

I don't believe this to be a problem with the keyboard rather the website, if your keyboard has a trackpad/glidepath you can always disable it.

Usb Power Problem

Hi check in bios if the usb port is not disabled, also try to connect another device to it for example usb stick. If it's working you may need install drivers for your device first.

HOW TO USE TOUCH RESPONSE

There are two samples for each note in the "Piano" sound samples. This allows you to play "soft = p" or "Loud = f" based on how hard you hit the keys.
The default setting of 2 suit most people. You can change the touch response to 3 (more hard) or 1 (less hard). With tough response set to 3 - you play mostly the soft samples until you bang the key much harder.
This is a keyboard that tries to give a bit of effect that an acoustic piano hammer mechanism would give.

We use Apple Keyboards in our testing centre, but would like to disable the side USB ports, so that students cannot smuggle in answers on their own thumb drives. How do we disable the ports?

Sorry, there's no way I can see to disable any of the USB ports either in software or hardware. How about a third-party keyboard that doesn't have any ports to begin with? Or, you could also physically block the ports... That could get a little pricey at around $10 a port (from what I've seen online), but it certainly seems fairly fool-proof (or at least student-proof!!).
Please rate this solution if you feel it has helped! Thanks, and good luck!!

While booting, go into your BIOS settings by pressing either the F1, F2, or F10 key. In the device settings of your BIOS is where you can disable the response of the touchpad.

Mouse not working

I opened the mouse and took the batteries out and double checked their placement and even though they were in correctly the first time, the mouse started working the second time.

Thanks for your response.
