Re: DVD'S will not play..
Sounds like the unit is bad, or set to the wrong Regional Code. Its not easy to set the regional code and it varies by model. You are better off buying a new DVD player given they can be found for under $30.

Hello; There are many laws and rules controlling what you can watch on all DVD players, built into a TV or separate player. If you go buy an MGM or other dvd of some movie at Walmart , Best Buy ETC it should play in your DVD player, But if You or somebody " Burned a DVD" , It Likely won't play. If The DVD is an original store copy and still won't play, the DVD chassis must be replaced. BIG BUCKS. Just buy a Cheap DVD player and plug into the jacks on the back of the TV and save a TON of money. John
hi, You can do the following to watch the same moving in both the screen. 1.Connect the AV out of both the unit together. with supplied av cord
2. If you want to watch the movie played on the first unit then put the DVD/AV IN switch of first monitor to DVD and the DVD/AV IN switch of second one to AV IN.Now you can watch the movie played on the first monitor on both monitors.
3. IF you want to watch movie played on the second unit then put DVD/AV IN switch of second monitor to DVD and the DVD/AV IN switch of the first monitor to AV IN. Now you can watch the movie played on the second monitor on both monitors.

kindly use original branded cd with piracy. because branded products like Sony or Samsung only play branded or original cd. Also note original movies are designed on supported software compatible with DVD players. compress files are not suit able for the DVD players.
The TV does not play movies it displays them It is the DVD that Plays them. But of course you knew that. Some of the newer movies like avatarcan be on Blu ray if your DVD is supposed to play Blu ray but doesn't don't be surprised as they have changed the format recently. Your DVD will require an udate of firmnware. Go to the website of the DVD brand and contact support Download the update and burn it to a disc and run it.
With the TV end Make sure the resolution can be accepted from the DVD you are trying to Play. If it isn't HD or capable of 1024x768 at 16.4 then it may not be able to display the image. Is there any sound?
If sound but no Pic then start playing with the picture format. go to 8.2 or 4,0 to see if it makes any difference Please rate my help++++Thanks for using FIXYA
Firstly check the region code matches with the dvd code.
Check your manual in the front will be a list of dvd`s the dvd can`t play.has the disc been finalised.
One thing could be ,has the dvd recorder been into a cold environment, or not been used for the first time.
Take the dvd recorder into a warm room connect to the mails and leave for 2 hours , if that was the problem it should work.
Dust , for this open the dvd tray and blow to remove dust in that area of the dvd recorder.
have you checked all leads?if they are all correct and undamaged check that you dont need an spif lead or yellow rca connector, then try watching on a different tv with same movie player ie dvd or video if this works there is a fault with the telly if it dosent theres a fault with your player, its a process of elimination check all componants and cross check that means tvs dvds videos and all leads.
