Question about Apple M9034LL/A Keyboard
My new aluminum Apple Keyboard ["Apple Keyboard Kit" purchased from Amazon.com, LLC] started to malfunction three weeks after I received it.
I really like the keyboard, so I replaced it with same model. When the new keyboard came it gave no pretence of functioning like it should. It malfunctioned in the same way right from the get-go!: deleting forward-only, no Return key function, insane Arrows function, et cetera... [It malfunctions slightly different in different applications.]
Is it possible the first new aluminum keyboard started malfunctioning after three weeks because my iMac Software Updater came up with an update I agreed to but which caused a problem for the first new keyboard and consequently for the second new keyboard?
In researching this problem, I found suggestions to run the Software Updater. It came up with no keyboard software updates. The next suggestion was to download the latest upgrade manually [Keyboard Software Update 1.2] and install it. I did this. Because nothing changed with the keyboard after the installation, I did a search for Keyboard Software Update 1.2 but only its .dmg on the desktop was found. I then installed it again, same non-results... I don’t think it really installed.
A really, really non-tech person!
[iMac G4, Power PC/not Intel, Mac OS 10.4.11]
The malfunction of the keyboard has nothing to do with teh software, even you dont update the software of it the keyboard should still work fine and this can only be another set of bad keyboards , I realy suggest to you to have this second keyboard relace again, because for the first place it should work fine as soon as you use it no software upadate can cause this problem..
Hope that helps.........

Are you sure its a issue with the keyboard, I would suggest trying these two keyboards on another system to see if they really are at fault.
