Whirlpool 75-Pint Dehumidifier Logo

I am thinking of purchasing a Whirlpool De Humidifier Model AD75UST second hand off of Craig's List. It is a discontinued model. Do you suggest my purchasing it? It is 3 yrs old. Is it a reliable model?

Based on what I've read on this forum about dehumidifiers, I'd say if the dehumidifier is more than two years old, it's junk. Brand probably doesn't matter since the internal parts like compressor are probably all from the same Chinese factory. Those might be the big questions when buying a dehumidifier: what brand is compressor and where was it made?

I have an whirlpool gold ad50gpusb from canadian tire. The pump will no longer pump via the clear rubber hose and instead the water accumulates in the bucket. Do you know if there is a simple fix to...

For the others who follow

I have the same model, same problem on a 2 year old purchase made in 2014. This unit has a pump (and a hose) to drain the condensate.

The pump light started blinking about a week ago, turning cycling power worked for a while, until pumping stopped altogether.

After investigating:
-the hoses are not blocked but there was some algal growth in the tray which I cleaned
-the pump no longer pumps.
-my favorite parts suppliers and other on-line sources have no record of the model/parts etc.
-Called "whirlpool" consumer line in manual
-Whirlpool has been purchased by Garrison and that company has no parts for this discontinued model but did provide a phone number for the pump 800-799-0991. Unfortunately the cost of this small solenoid pump is $74.

I will drain the condensate via gravity to a floor drain as I don't see spending that much for something that broke so quickly and appeared poorly made..

I have a Danby which has the feature for heat on the left-hand side. I just bought it a month ago, but can't lay my hands on the instruction book right now. Can you tell me the proper procedure for...

Lori, the Danby Humidifier, Model # DDR2504 does not have a heating function. It's just a 25 pint dehumidifier. In fact, there are no Danby Dehumidifiers that have a heating function.

By, chance do you have Multifunction Air Conditioning unit, rather than a dehumidifier? If so, please provide the correct model number.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

What size of hose or tubing do I use to connect directly to my de humidifier, to drain directly into a drain. Thanks. I have model DDR451

A 48' long piece of garden hose will work fine. Connect the female hose connection to the unit's hose connector and be sure that the hose slopes down and straight to the floor drain. Drainage thru the hose relies entirely on gravity. Be sure to set the humidity extraction level low (32 - 35%) for continual operation.

I hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa..

Dehumidifier wont turn on or reset. code comes up as F2 and wont reset. Cleaned off filter. no help. any ideas you have would be appreciated.Just bought it last year. we have the hose connected to a...

To figure out what Code F2 is, I took a look at the Owners Manual for the Model # AD70USS, Strangely, the Owners Manual doesn't list an F2 Code or any codes for that matter. Because that model number humidifier, does not have an LED screen.

Never the less, to reset your unit using an alternate method. Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit from the wall outlet. Wait 12 - 15 minutes before plugging it back in. Then turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON and the dehumidifier should have reset itself. If it doesn't check the positioning of the water bucket, to make sure it's contacting the safety switch. Eventhough, you're using a drain home, it's still important.

Hope this helps you solve the problem.

I just purchased a second-hand LG 45 pint dehumidifier. I need an owner's manual, free if possible........ Thanks

Jenifay, take good care of your dehumidifier and do all the routine maintenance that is recommended in the Owners Manual. As this model has been discontinued.

The following link will take you to LG's Knowledge Base. On the right of the page, you will see Dehumidifier Manual English. Click on that, and you can download and print the manual for a 45 pint LHD4SEL Dehumidifier.

Since I was able to get you a free manual, would you be kind enough to rate my response to you?
Thanks.

The bucket fills with water even though the humidifier is attached to a hose

Most of the units do not require the bucket to be in place, when the hose is attached. However, since you didn't list the Model Number of your unit, I can't be sure that's the case with yours. However, if you click on the following link, and enter the correct model number, you can download and print the Owners Manual for future reference.

Hope this helped you to sort it out.

I have a Whirlpool AD75UST humidifier that stopped running, almost like it blew a fuse or something. Does it have a fuse somewhere? Any other possibilities? Thank you!

Have you checked the receptacle it's plugged into, to see if it's still working? Use an electric lamp to check this. If the lamp doesn't work, the circuit breaker in the home's main panel has been tripped. Unplug the dehumidifier and reset the circuit breaker. Then plug the dehumidifier back in. If it trips the circuit breaker again, there's an electrical problem within the dehumidifier.

In answer to your direct question ... some dehumidifiers have a reset switch. It's probably on the back of the unit, above the water collection tub. if all else fails consult your Owners Manual's Trouble Shooting Guide. If you have misplaced it, you can download it from the Whirlpool Appliance starting at their home page.

Hope this helped head you in the right direction to solving your problem.
