While i load window 7 sound driver not working

This appears to be a pretty old motherboard. To start with, check the volume control near the clock in the right side of the taskbar. If there is an X look at why - it is possible your speakers aren't plugged into the right place (try the green plug). Or your volume may be turned down all the way on the speakers or the volume control or the mute might be selected (just uncheck it or move the volume slider a little bit).

If those easy things don't work, there is a driver for Vista for your motherboard, so that same driver should (but no guarantees) work for Windows 7 - make sure you know whether your OS is 32 or 64 bit - there are two easy ways to tell.

First, open an Explorer window using the folder icon in the Taskbar, and click the little triangle next to the C: drive. If there are two Program Files folders (one with x86) then you have 64 bit. If not, you have 32. The other way to tell is to go to the Control Panel, show Large Icons, and double-click System. It will tell you whether your OS is 32 or 64 bit.

Here is the link for the driver from Asus: http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P5PE-VM&os=17

Be sure to download the correct driver. Install it and it should work. If it does not work, the sound card on the motherboard may be bad. It is also possible the audio portion of the motherboard is turned off in the BIOS setup program. Look in the Device Manager in the Control Panel under Sound, Video, and Game Controllers for a specific device such as Realtek High Definition Audio Device or something similar, or there may be something under Other Devices like 'PCI audio controller' or something to that effect.

If those are missing, try going into the BIOS setup program by rebooting your computer and right as you see the Asus splashscreen press the Delete key on your motherboard. Look under Advanced Options or something similar to see if the Audio bus is turned off - if it is then turn it on.

If nothing works, you should be able to get an add-on PCI sound card from a place like Newegg (I like Soundblaster cards) and install it.

I hope that helps!

Sound driver doesnt work' i tried the latest driver from the internet and the original intel cd plus i tried driver max, nothing worked. i tried an external sound card and it didnt worked as...

It sounds like your speakers are plugged into the wrong port, muted or have failed. Try different speakers. You also might have downloaded the driver for the wrong OS for both sound cards. It is also possible that the sound controller on the motherboard was disabled. Otherwise, your sound has failed on the motherboard.
Good luck!

Hello, the built in sound card is not working. it says the sound driver is not installed. the exact model of my board is msi ms6850 ver:5. where can i find a driver download for this?

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers make sure you have selected the
(((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer
hope this helps

My sound card not works some time

Hello Pankai, hi check cable connections, the speakers connection is on the green port of your speakers. if its fine. Now check if the sound card was detected by your computer, check device manager and see if your sound card is present ( no yellow ! and ?). If you find a yellow symbol on your sound card, needs the device driver, (locate your CD driver) install the device driver for your sound card. if you cannot find the driver CD, visit the manufacturer's website and download the driver. if your sound card is part of the mother board, visit the motherboard's website and find your driver there. you need the motherboard model.

Sound Starts on Then Goes Off Randomly

I actually fixed the problem. It was a driver issue. Try this with your sound card program. I opened up the program in charge for sound. In my case it was soundmax. And pressed the load defaults button and clicked apply and everything started working again. The same thing happened again after a while so I pressed defaults again and it worked. But It happened again so I uninstalled the drivers and updated them. Everything was fine after that. Now I have a problem with my registry.lol

Hope it helps.
