Question about HP OfficeJet 6210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Officejet 6210 noisy rollers

When pulling paper from tray and while moving paper during printing until ejected, there is a loud grinding noise, as if the rollers are rubbing too tightly against the machine. Gets louder as the printing continues. Have tried cleaning as instructed by HP to no avail. Any ideas?

I have the same problem, but I think the printer is out of warranty, so we are going to have to replace it. Now it is starting to eat paper when i am copying. I use it for my business, and it is driving me mad!

I believed this issue is on the mechanical side of the printer.if the grinding noise is very noisy if you still have the warranty of the printer you can go ahead an ask for the replacement of the printer coz it is an issue with the mechanical part of the printer..

Xerox 6360dn, Tray 2 makes loud grinding noise when printing. Tray 1 is as quiet as a mouse. Replaced tray 2 with a known good tray and it still makes grinding noise.

In my experience, it was the registration roller causing the grinding noise. See http://my.brainshark.com/Phaser-6300-6350-6360-Grinding-Noise-795590408 for troubleshooting video.

When I print something on my hp 6210, the words and pictures are bisected and skewed. Why is it doing this?

You may have a paper path problem, if the paper skews during printing you will get skewed lines, try cleaning all the paper path rollers you can access, look for any paper debris.

Feed paper is pulled into the right side of printer (facing Printer) and jams. Cleaning no help.Canon Pixma MP600.

I had the same problem, tried and failed with all maintenance tasks including cleaning all rubber rollers and belts, manually turning the rollers and belt, only succeeded in forcing out some small paper debris, but still jamming.Googled for answers, even looking at a technician service manual post by Baido.com,none have provide a tried and succeeded answer, even the paid answers by experts were suggesting the rollers needed to be replaced due to wear and tear, but we are only light duty user,it is unlikely.Next thing you know $3 a question,20 questions later, you are out $60 and still end up with a broken printer . I finally used thick heavy photo papers to test print as they are unlikely to rip and tear when jammed, the first time it made a very loud and very loud grinding noise,I cancelled the printing immediately and slowly and firmly pulled the photo paper out from the front ejecting compartment,a small piece of what looked like a spiral bounded calender type paper came out with the pulling.Tried again with photo paper for printing, this time it made the same loud noise again, stopped print immediately, thought I f-cked up,while carefully and firmly pulling the photo paper ,a small piece of Styrofoam came out. After that every printing test for front paper loader and the front bottom cassette loader work flawlessly with plain paper.I realized that the front loading feeder tray iwas the entrance culprit of these small shits that got inside without any body's knowing.Taped the front feeder tray close, use only the bottom cassette feeder as it is completely enclosed, nothing will get in there.Because a lot of people put things on top of the printer cover when not in use,**** got in there accidentally and stupidly.Hope this will help, saved myself a lot of money and time in setting up new printer to the local and wireless network,I am not a techno guy.Try at your own risk,I had nothing to lose, thought I had to buy a new printer, now the printer is working like new, smooth, quite and fast.

HP Officejet 6210 will print but with terrible clicking noise

Ok this Sounds Crazy but it worked for me and its easy to try. Unplug the unit and pick it up and turn it side ways and gently shake it. Sometimes a small piece of plastic has broken loose and is interfering with the works and if you can dislodge it from its current location it will stop. Be careful not to hurt youself doing it. Also, I have one printer with a missing tooth on one of the gears and has been growling at me for a long time.
Best of Luck,

Brother hl5250dn printer making noise during paper picking

check the rear end of the paper tray. There is an adjustable bar for paper size that is probably not locking into place. If this moves accidently when refilling the paper tray. it may cause a rather unnerving noise. You need to adjust this bar to fit snugly with the short edge of the paper stack.

Not printing from tray 2.

Check that the paper pickup rollers forthat tray are not melted from excessive heat. Take out the paper tray and try to manually move the gears.

Loud noise/paper tray not working

What error? Does it say paper jam and a number? Have you tried cleaning the rollers that pick up the paper? Use a cotton cloth with a little bit of WD40. Then a dry cloth to remove residue oil. Do not use alcohol. It will dry out the roller and make it slick.
